Casper and EchoOfRain...i disagree, alot of girls are shy too, and they hardly make it obvious that they have interest in you, althought there is a chance that your correct, i highly doubt he's screwed yet. | ||

Back then when I was 16 i did like a girl but i was too shy too and i didn't tell her anything but definitelly there was some chemistry between us... Soon after one boy got her and i regret it. You mostly need to do it for yourself because if u don't do it with this girl you probably won't with the next one. U need to gain some confidence - sooner the better for you. And don't plan actions you'll only be sad when it doesn't work. Instead be more spontaneous, but that doesn't mean stop thinking... Don't be too romantic, instead try to talk about something funny or u both find interesting, young girls like that mostly date confident or funny guys - if u are neither bad luck. | ||

I have to know where I stand, that's the hardest part, really. Am I just a friend to her? Not in the 'possible boyfriends' that LastWish talked about? Or am I? God, I can't even tell. Should I just sit back and observer and see what happens? I've pretty much decided that the straight-up method is the wrong thing to do. I guess that I've gathered from this thread to be much more forward, like the advice from Brood to slowly work up to her towards asking her to do something that is just us two (and i've never asked a girl out on a date in my life); but you know, this will be so obvious and blatant, i'm pretty sure if i do that my friend will notice (if he's actually interested in her, i can't tell for sure, but i think he is) and will probably pull me over for a "hey man wtf is going on, wtf are you doing" talk. So yeah, really, I'm not really sure what I should do. I've been convinced not to tell her "oh I'm crazy about you". I'm sort of for the waiting and seeing and starting to make my move. It's weird that you guys don't mention any time pressure; I'm feeling like I could lose her to my friend if he decides to chase after her if I don't act soon. Once they're established as 'together' there's really not much I could do (i can't make a move then cause you know, that isn't right) but sit back and "Brood" haha. | ||
