I'm appalled by how many people have evidently misread the OP =P. The OP is talking about your opponent winning and then BMing you, not you winning and them losing- two similar, but still different things.

I'll have to admit I used to do it too. I was frustrated from losing to the same all-in strategies and cheeses over and over at the time and when I had finally conquered it I felt the need to unleash my pent up frustrations and celebrate by berating my opponent who had blindly gambled on getting himself an easy win. That is my point of view and my take on it and I believe in my heart that it is justified because I'm not flaming out of rage, I'm flaming in celebration (because hell I really feel happy in that moment). Now say if I were flaming my opponent just because he played poorly, let's say a macro game where he had trouble properly managing his bases then that'd make me a complete dick which I don't condone.

Of course I don't do it anymore because it's a waste of time and it keeps me from hitting the Find Match button again, but in my heart I still have those thoughts. If there is good reason then I say why the hell not "I won fucking won, I get the privilege to talk down to you how I want because you tried to get an easy win out of me."

I don't think I'm doing a disservice to myself because of my attitude towards BMing as the winner. You may think that I'm an immature brat who thinks he has to belittle his opponent because of their choice in playstyle, but I really am not. It's not like I'm significantly stunting my growth as my player by doing so, instead I may be doing myself a favor by BMing my opponent after figuring out how to stomp their gimmicky strats. Think of it as a guy who has spent the majority of his time toiling over loss after loss, constantly critiquing himself and re-evaluating his play, not giving even a single moment to relax and then when he finally reaches his goal he decides to decompress himself. All that frustration, that stress, gone- isn't that a healthy thing to do? It's giving yourself a pat on the back, "Hey man you did it, good job. You worked harder than your opponent who tried to blindly all-in you and you came out ahead."

I mean if you're bothered by someone who has BM'd you after he, the opponent, has won (so no not you) then take some time to evaluate the reason why he would BM you. Were you gimmicky? Or did you play a solid game? If you were gimmicky then maybe that's a sign that you should veer away from that type of play unless you're practicing it in preparation for a Bo3 or a Bo5 you may have to play in a tournament. If you lost playing a solid game, and got shit for it, then yes your opponent was a dick.

I hope this makes some sense to some of you. Feel free to disagree though I'd like to see the argument. I like the Steve Hughes reference, but I can't swallow that 6 million Jew joke of his =_=
