I used to own a great game called Pikmin 2 made by Nintendo for the Nintendo GameCube. It was developed in the fading years of the gamecube and greatly improved on the gameplay of its predecessor so it's become a rare and expensive video game that goes for high prices. A cousin of mine who I didn't get along with asked me if he could borrow the game. That was over three or four years ago but only now am I thinking about that game again. I forget if he only asked me once for the game or several times over. I can't remember the events that well but I do know we weren't on friendly terms, and I would imagine he'd pretend to act as a friend to deceive me. He said some cruel things in our future encounters after he had what he wanted. I keep getting paranoid thinking he's already sold his gamecube and all of his video games for something like a bag of weed or ten dollars. I don't really know how I'd approach him for the game or his family members. Maybe I should let it go. That game though, I've replayed it several times up until this one really hard level in the game. I was a gullible child.

Fuck this weather. Whole week it was hot as fuck, I was sweating even doing nothing and I dreamed of nothing more than just a weekend. It came. With heavy storms and shit, no electricity and water for few hours and internet just came back - sorta, 'cause it's still a mess and barely works. So I couldn't really relax much (I'm total nerd type, best leisure time is me in dark room with my computer) and neither do some apply/work stuff I wanted and I might miss on new job opportunity because of it. Hell fucking yeah.

And now, it's fucking monday. GREAT.

Hello misery, old friend. I'm here at the Letting Off Steam Thread once again. Strange how that happens. I've spent some miserable nights here going on tangents in sleep deprived fueled hysteria. It seems like I have better control of my life, even if there are parts of it that I can't control, and even realizing that I am in more control. I've finally finished my first self help book after more than a year of reading it off and on. Why did it take so long? I don't know but I know even reading a thousand self help books won't resolve my issues. I'll have to take the leap myself and push to make a change in my life. If I want to toil in my own juices of misery then let it be. It's all up to me and how I want to live my life and with what life has to offer I'm going to make my life enjoyable. I read a lot of stories like the recent popular blog post titled "For My Friend" by Skrelt that puts life into perspective but no one really has the perspective unless they've experienced it themselves. My mood deviates from time to time and there's always danger lurking out there, racists, serial killers, red light runners, rapists, child abductors, there's not much of a chance of falling victim to any of those types of people but there's always a chance. I saw this short person afflicted with dwarfism and the person in an interview said to not treat them like a child. It's so strange because in a way I would treat them like a child. I realize my motives, I can realize the why and trouble lots of trouble. Life is hard but hey you know that's life.

This girl somehow in my PhD program fucked up a 50-pages paper because she didn't properly read what the teacher wanted, she turned in a dissertation instead of a research paper (somehow), so after that happened she needed to redo it. She's lucky the teacher didn't just fail her or give her a bad grade. So after this happens, this girl asks me to send her my paper to see what to do, which is fine, I do it.

Then a few days later she hits me up, the e-mail says: "hey, we should meet up next week for a few hours to get some work done"

COUPLE OF HOURS? WHA. But yeah I'm giving her 30 minutes, holy shit

At this level there's no plagiarism possible as far as I know. The seminar was me + 3 people and the professor and we all wrote a paper on our own area of research, she just wanted to see my methodology and the structure of my paper. If she plagiarized anything, the teacher would know who did it.

I think it's funny how forward she has been about the whole thing like yeah just give me a few hours of your time for nothing. Cultural differences perhaps, she's from Cameroon.

Well understandably she's probably in panic mode which I can understand which is why I'm helping her at all but yeah... A little weird.
