But don't worry, you will see some Vice News propaganda edits showing hot noble female fighters who struggle for democracy and how bad isis are, these are just some prank shows..
And you think that you are making this any better by listing a few outdated and very one-sided reports? Some of those have the Doğan News Agency as a source which is something that I would never ever consider as being reliable or objective.
Besides: Turkey is bombing them for quite a while now, what the fuck were you expecting? I don't even know why this is a point of contention...
Stop with your bullshit please, I don't want to see this thread suffer the same fate as the Ukraine thread.

Dogan Agency is not a state controlled one and they are part of the opposition. I dont give a damn about Ukraine thread but if you denied any thoughts&facts rather than yours and call them bullshit like you do atm sorry, you are bullshitting. And please correct those news reports and prove they r wrong, if you can.

Now how can ISIS mount any kind of decent attack when the coalition maintains complete uncontested air dominance? it's a serious question btw.

Guys, please try not to link biased reports, especially state controlled media like Hurriyet... And I would like to remind those people who seem to think that ISIS are "misunderstood" or aren't the bad guys... They are holding over 300 of my people. My church is in contact with these people and they relay the news to us, so we know exactly what is going on. I have had friends relatives fighting and killed there by them defending their homes. I have had friends relatives being one of the victims of rape and kidnapping, so don't make up this bullshit that ISIS isn't bad, because they are.

Not a single person here said that ISIS is not bad and noone believes that.

Total air dominance means nothing when you don't have troops that can actually root out the smaller forces. Also, total air dominance is not what you think it means. The front in Syria and Iraq spans thousands of kilometers of desert. There are a couple of hundred planes. They cannot possibly cover the entire front all the time, and thus focus on what intelligence services indicate are important strategic locations. Especially in areas where they can support the Iraqi army or the Kurds, who serve as their boots on the ground at the moment.
Also, the US does not give a shit about Assad's government so they don't really care about his oil fields either.

Hurriyet is state controlled? LOL.

Oh yeah, state controlled media was attacked by government controlled youth 2 days ago, and Turkish prosecutors started a trial against HURRIYET and you still call a kids death, a woman's death, a doctor's death. biased reports.
When ISIS scums kills civilians whole media on it, when PKK does it nobody cares and its biased because they r our war heroes now. This is constantly happening in our foreign policy for years after / before Saddam and you realize it when whole area is fucked up and full of with anti-US propaganda seeding muslim extremists. Anyways i have nothing to add, follow your rightists media, but do not forget: https://i.imgur.com/qdCuOIk.jpg

There is a civil war in Turkey and it is linked to Iraq and Syria, mods should expand the topic. Its not my government, i'm an US citizen with half French origin, please check my other posts. I'm against any Western support to any moderate group in Syria. -including support of Turkey, US, Germany and so on-. Plus, i don't see you complaining the guns your government sent there a while ago, neither.

I feel very certain that it actually is a Turk. Nationalism has it's reach. Dutch forums and boards are full of trolls too.

Could you guys recommend me some one or two good documentaries about this conflict? I'm guessing it's hard to cover all the factions and events in one video so I won't get the full picture anyway but I need to start somewhere.

Notice not a single Shia is among the interviewees. This very much puts the blame for the Sunni insurgency to Maliki while it might have happened regardless. The rift between the 2 factions was already huge. Lets not forget their were killings and bombings going on all the time. I mean many of Maliki's suspicions against the Sunnis might have actually been true given what unfolded later on.
Also this fails to explain how the Iraqi army could be defeated so easily at many places by way smaller ISIS forces. Lack of American weapons seems more like an excuse than the actual reason. The Iraqi army still had way more of them than ISIS after all. The melting away of Sunni army units or the cooperation of Sunni army officers with ISIS is not even mentioned.

What are you speaking about? ISIS has had an airforce for years, it is called IAF. Not entirely serious but this is what Syrians have been saying for years. It might not have been Israel's intention to help ISIS but the IAF attacked SAA positions several times in the past when the SAA captured some territory from ISIS and thus allowed ISIS to take it right back. Recently Turkish Air Force helped them too, so maybe the IS is the only country with 2 airforces now ;D

Also, ever since the coalition air strikes ISIS couldn't mount any decent attack anymore. All their dramatic gains in territory where from before. The one massive offensive they tried after (Kobane) was repulsed.
