Uh, that think those who don't convert to Christianity should pay a tax or be killed? No, not a lot of American Christian institutions that think that. Even your crazy, off-the-charts fundamentalists don't go there. Maybe the KKK, but at the point your stooping to terrorist groups, you've gone pretty far beyond what anyone actually thinks. The Christian right might not be your cup of tea, but they don't advocate killing infidels. If you mean that there are US Christians who think that the intense sexual objectification of women is a form of oppression in our society, sure. I'm one of them. Don't want to go too far off topic hence spoilers. I merely meant that there are some who wish to create their Christian Utopia by various means, even if it does infringe upon others' civil rights. ie quakers or hutaree or kkk or wbc.

Quakers? Really? Out of all the groups possible, you mention the Quakers? This tells me you have absolutely zero idea about what you're talking about.

I find this not so different from a quaker (or any religious group) fantasizing or living out their fantasy world. apologies if my broad stroking paint brush is too large for your tight ass.

Bye, Bye ancient ruins. The dumb part is that these morons are destroying ancient monuments just to spite us. They know that the civilized people will get angry and that is why they are doing it and filming on top of it. Trolling taken to the next level.

Because if you knew anything about Quakers you'd realize how moronic it was. They're by far the most liberal Christian group in existence. It's obvious that you know absolutely nothing about what you're trying to talk about. A group of wahhabist women and you compare them to Quakers of all people lmao. The same Quakers that were vehemently anti-slavery, pro-womens rights/suffrage/participation/etc. etc., immensely pro-life (e.g. anti-war, pacifists, etc.), etc. I mean it's really comical to be honest.

They are specifically doing it trying to instigate an international conflict. They want the world to react and they want it to trigger WWIII basically.

This makes me so sad

We need to perform Total War on these assholes until they suffer a defeat as total as Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. From there we can rebuild. Annihilate Wahabism in its totallity.
|
How to fix problem:
1. Change borders. 2. Squeeze IS while supporting alternative. 3. Wait 4. When new countries stabilise don't proceed to fuck them over with unequal trade treaties (think NAFTA and Mexico).

Yeah, this would have been nice a 100 years ago. Now the hypothetical state borders will remain so unfortunately. But then again at least the Iraq/Syria border is really just hypothetical as well nowadays.
|
It would be nice today too. The only thing stopping it is that the great powers are more interested in preserving the concept of borders being impossible to change because then people might realise that their own borders should be reduced.
Borders are just an idea. They are frequently bizarrely placed (check out India/Bangladesh).
Most conflicts in the world today could be solved or significantly helped by altering borders or carving out new states that match existing ethno-linguistic regions (North Korea is a rare exception).

The mass executions have started in Palmyra.

http://www.euronews.com/2015/05/20/turkey-world-s-top-host-for-refugees-many-want-to-stay/
A refugee from Aleppo said: “The most vulnerable people are living here. We can’t work. In Syria we lived and worked as normal people.”
Our correspondent Bora Bayraktar asked him: “Do you think of going back. Do you miss your country?”
“I don’t want to go back,” was the man’s answer.
Most of the Syrian refugees miss their home country but have no desire to go back, given the circumstances. The market in Oncupinar Refugee Camp shows how settled they are here. It seems that Turkey will continue to live with Syrian refugees for some time to come.
Gaziantep has become a provisional home for an estimated 400,000 Syrian refugees. The population growth has pushed up rents and food prices, creating tension between locals and refugees.

Poor people. That camp looks well designed though. not luxurious by any means but definitely above standard.
