This reminds me of when i was in 6th grade, I had two friends who didn't get along. One of them was big like casey, and the other wasn't small but was smaller like the bully. The smaller kid constantly bullied everyone including my bigger friend, after a long period of time my bigger friend finally picked him up and slammed him in a similar fashion. I was standing right there and was trying to stop it. After he slammed him he just let him lay there, and didn't proceed to inflict any damage. My friend who was the bully had two broken bones in his right leg, and he learned his lesson. The two of them were neighbors at the time, and later became friends around highschool years. It was a very intense situation to be in at that age. | ||

I was that big kid from about 6th grade to 9th... There was a pack of black kids that would just relentlessly bully me... One day I was dressing out for gym class and they started at it again. About 5 of them took one of those punching bags filled with sand, held me up against a wall, and started using it as a battering ram to my abdomen, breaking 2 of my ribs. None of them got into trouble. When I got back, they caught me alone again, and I snapped. I brought their leader to the ground and nearly broke his arm using some submission hold shit I saw in WWF (lol kids watching rasslin') as they tried to beat me off of him. I Hulked out on adrenaline and beat the shit out of one of the other ones, the rest running off. When it came time for the talk with the principal, my parents were totally on my side on this. They had told the school to protect their son. The school didn't do anything about it. I was then to protect myself. I did. I finished out at a private school and went to college. One of the punks who had tormented me for years went to that college. Something must have changed his life or something, because I got a very sincere apology from that one. The rest have been in long prison terms at one time or another since then. | ||

It's sad that I have seen similar things happen yet the "authorities" at the school don't want any trouble and just shrug them off as "learning experiences". | ||

I've worked at a kennel before, and when dogs misbehave they separate them from the groups or the misbehavior spreads to other dogs. I really wish schools in general would do more of this. It took me a long, long time to get over the racism that developed after going through that for so many years. | ||

I've gone to schools exactly like in that video all my life and the schools literally do fucking NOTHING to stop bullying, as far as the teachers are concerned if they didn't see it; it didn't happen.. and even then they barely do anything if they do see it. | ||

Sue the kid who slammed you kid after bullying them. There is a video with the whole event. It isn't like casey was the aggressor. Then she also raised a kid who believed it was alright to bully people only ofc when outnumbering them. Perhaps they should counter-sue, but not for money perhaps the mother needs a slam to knock some sense into her. | ||

The knock-on effect of the bullying stays with me to this day, and it's partially why I choose to sit at home on the computer all day. I'd rather be protected in my own bubble than fear going outside and exposing myself to potential crap from assholes over again. I know it's irrational to think like this now, as I am 23 years old and studying to become a doctor, and I do have friends etc. I cover it up extremely well, most people would never guess that I have these issues. But even now when friends ask me to go out to a bar or something my instinctual response is to not go because I just don't feel safe around people I don't know. I'm still haunted by dreams of those past school days, and no matter what I still feel powerless (I never dream that I'm the Hulk smashing those bastards, I'm still afraid of them). | ||

I appreciate your point but it does not change the issue that it is wrong to suspend him for what he did. They could have took a stance and made the correct moral decision, but they did not. They could have taken other "action" without suspending him. They seem to have gone with what seems to be a modern trend, doing what is "legally" correct, yet the law has it's grey areas, and at times common sense must be used. This rarely seems to happen anymore, in many areas of life | ||
