I am going to assume that someone asked this already, but I don't have time to look through 82 pages so sorry if this is a repeat question. The first article said Seoul and the other article I read on Yahoo said Incheon. Does anyone know if the people near the GSL or in the TL house were affected/heard it/OK etc.?

Thank you for the clarification, you relieved any worry of mine of anyone I might have heard of getting hurt

User was warned for this post how is that even possible when noone will back n korea Actually even though no other nation is allied with North Korea, Russia and China would not want anymore U.S. Military on their shore. They are pretty much are already angered (at least China is) with the situation when U.S. officials told everyone that U.S. Military will join South Korea's Military exercise at the Yellow Sea. When war between North Korea and South Korea happens U.S. will surely joins due to the fact U.S. will back up their ally which is South Korea.(This alliance is a treaty in which will come in effect if North and South Korea do go to war with each other.) If war happens between these two nations, China wouldn't want any refugees coming towards them and it would also be their responsibility to make sure this war would not cause their goals to slow down a bit. North Korea is the backyard of China so really they don't want anyone thrashing their backyard.

Which brings us back to the point of how would even that start "WW3"
What, would China invade South Korea or something?

Still no one will back North Korea in terms of actually fighting a fullblown out war. China may try to intervene but they would never actually declare war on the US.

China doesn't want a war with the U.S. They want to avoid any way with us VERY MUCH. For them, it's a dumb idea to engage with us in war, when they can simply economically bleed us to death.

Reading the Chinese equivalent of TL gives me the impression that they're pretty much split on supporting NK or SK, but the netizens seem to agree that fighting is undesirable and that status quo is best, and the debate seems to be about whether supporting NK or SK will help maintain that status quo, and one big fear is an active attempt by SK to unify the two. In the event fighting actually occurs, though, the netizens' consensus is that they shouldn't support NK, but rather SK OR stay out of the fighting altogether.
I think.

China is heavily depending on their export to the west, mostly USA - Bleeding the US to death will be bleeding themselves to death as well

China would honestly still be economically fine without the USA. It might not be beneficial for them by any means, but it wouldn't spell the end of China if things get even more screwy for us.

I hate KJI and I'm really sorry for both Koreas, but making NK "absolute evil" à-la-Bush without realizing that western democracy are in fact not behaving much better is a bit silly too. US is the citadel of democracy therefore it is always right and just. If one day they will invade your country, it is in the name of democracy! I wonder if you are kidding. I thought you were kidding with your initial statement. If you're seriously comparing NK to America you are extremely ignorant and/or misinformed. I surely prefer America's governments than North Korea dictature.
Doing an illegal war for private interest of your administration, torturing people or keeping them in captivity in a military camp for ten years without any kind of right or law is a much worse crime than killing four people with artilery firing.
North Korea is not "absolute evil", because absolute evil doesn't mean anything. And Americans are certainly not "the good ones" theses days.

So what the chinese Team Liquid (what is this, may I ask?) says and thinks doesn't really reflect what the Chinese government will/wants to do.

Should definitely take netizen comments with a grain of salt, but several of them have commented that the government's policy of protecting NK during the first Korean war was a strategic decision that no longer applies in the modern situation.

No nation is good. All nations, when it comes down to it, are entirely ruthless about protecting their interests, without any regard for morals or rights.
What matters is which nation is more aligned with your values, and your interests, and you can't honestly fucking think that NK is preferable to the U.S.
