Some argue how chinese government is evil and are not treating their citizens correctly, however according to the poll, the chinese populous is happy with their government. now, the documentaries, the journalists are limited to where they can't and can go so that may have to do something about it. from what i've seen, the north korean woman cry when they see kim jung il like a 14 yr girl cries when she sees justin bieber. a military doup d'éta, maybe but citizen revolt? i highly doubt it. if rok is able to occupy dprk, i think there will be some resistance until the people become educated through aid and information. in a way, it might be like trying to say kim jung il never walked on water and healed the sick, it'll be hard to believe for some. Exactly. N Koreans really don't have any choice but to drink the kool-aid, so to speak. When the government limits what information you're taught and allowed to know, it's pretty impossible to know that they're lying. And any sort of unification is going to be met with resistance, just because N Koreans won't be able to understand that we're just trying to help them. Just think of it like trying to save some young impressionable teenager from a cult. They've been brainwashed, it's all they know, they're fiercely loyal to the people that are actually hurting them, and even if you successfully manage to rescue them they'll fight you every step of the way until they're eventually calmed down and realize what the cult was really doing to them.

The rounds did concentrate on the military base on Yeonpyeong island, but still, this is outrageous. BBC says it can be an indication of a political transition - Kim Jong Il to his youngest son - but how is an attack like this a sign of such transition?

What i was reading was saying that the son might be trying to prove himself to his fathers military brass. Also heard that n.k. could just be completely out of food, and this is their last ditch attempt to get something.

It must be pointed out that al-jazeera has a strong anti-Israel (and by extension anti-US) bias, and that it is controlled by the Saudi royal family. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't watch it, just that you should take their biases into account (like any news source).

I know I would... no matter how much I love SC2 I don't think I'd risk being mired in a war over it. I'm thinking they will stay. They have a nice and steady job at GSL and there is no 100% threat yet.

It must be pointed out that you seem to have no idea what you are talking about. Royal Saudi family? Really? So far reporting by Al Jazeera on this topic has been good. And the English Al Jazeera doesn't have the "strong anti US bias" you claim it has anyway. This might be different for the Arabic channel but then I wouldn't be able to tell.
