If anyone knows anything about good WIRELESS headphones I'd be very appreciative, as I have not purchased a single wireless model to date. I was thinking of getting these iLuvs in futureshab but I decided not to since I have the, " oh fuck i spent 230 $ on these headphones and now they're blown out because they suck balls and you can't use them at max volume", neurosis.

New headphones are kinda on the top of my Christmas list ![]() They are comfortable, and I really like them. Just try not to get a big head when you buy them, like most people. With all new headphones I think you kind of have to stay away from sites like Head-fi and such, or you will experience buyers remorse from people who think they need a special amp, or people who think another headphone is better, or whatever.... Just get the phones you want and enjoy them. Otherwise you'll turn into one of those people who doesn't really remember what music is.

Dont forget that you need an amp for these Headphones you really do. ![]() So if you get them for x-mas you will still have to spend min ~180$ for a dac/amp combo like the audinst mx-1 ^^. (Its the best device for its price) For the 650 They are great Headphones the difference with non-amp and amped is huge. :o There are dozens reviews of them and everyone agrees that theyre great.

Hmm my friend has been using an Ultrasone (I forgot which one, it was around $170 new) for a year and a half, and he loves it. I remember him saying that he couldn't wear them for too long periods of time, but around 2 hours or so was fine. You could look into those. Check out some ATH and Beyerdynamics if you want too. I know the ATH-M50 is very very good, but it's out of your price range...

I've been using really cheap headphones forever. I bought a $50 Skullcandy set a year ago which was really mediocre, and the wire snapped in half after a VERY light tug. Also had the Razer Baracuddas before that, absolutely awful. My game awareness in CS / CSS actually went down after using them, and the sound quality was terrible.

![]() P.S Only reason I'm limiting myself to these options is due to fact I have few hundred dollars in Dell account so I can only choose from options at http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/category.aspx?c=us&category_id=7315&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&~ck=anav&sort=-price

Got my Yuin PK2 in the mail couple days ago and my Sony MDR-7506 today ![]() ![]() Oh wow I love them both The Yuin looks like one of those free earbuds you get from airplanes but they sound so good Great clarity especially in the midrange, which my JVC HA-RX900 lacked in They have punchy controlled bass which I find plenty, although some people say they lack in bass However, I find it is kind of muddied in the lower midrange listening to some lower piano songs Pop music is so much fun to listen to on these things Not as accurate and clean as the Sony MDR-7506 I think but gives a warm coloration that makes music fun to listen to :> And the Sony MDR-7506 Really crisp and clean everywhere Great detail in everything I hear :> Less bass, which is what I prefer My other can was pretty bass heavy Still I think it has plenty of punchy bass Need to listen to it some more~ Oh and also, it folds up really nicely Ugh... I think I picked up a really expensive hobby... Need to stop buying haha I'm satisfied with what I have right now so~

I'm satisfied with my headphones and IEMs now, but reading these threads and checking stuff out on amazon or looking at deals/coupons really pushes my temptations to buy more. Soon, I'll break and buy something~

I ended up getting a Asus Xonar Essence STX to replace my X-Fi Music, instead of a dedicated DAC/Amp. I really like the Dolby Headphone setting for FPS gaming and movies, and have been having fun doing op-amp swapping to find my perfect audio signature for music. So far the OPA op-amps have been my favorites, OP2137 at the moment. I have tried 49720NA, LT1358 and LT1057, and OPA2137.

Only when you get very high up do you really need an amplifier. If you don't like how a headphone sound, it's either preference, or it's the amplifier. If you don't like the sound, it's your preferences. If it's really muddy sound on a good pair of headphones, it's the amplifier. Just a warning, get in hi-fi, find something you like, buy it, leave and never return. You'll be glad. So will your wallet. This is assuming we're not talking about Skullcandy, or Wesc, etc... and you're using high quality files on the headphones, not 60kbps for example.

I was wondering what the "best" headphones out there are now a days and if they are worth the money to upgrade to. Thanks! The best headphones out there huh. I can name a few that are contending. Stax SR007 O2 Audez'e LCD2 Yamaha YH-1000 Sony R10 beyerdynamic T1 Sennheiser HD800 Sennheiser HE90 AKG K1000 Just the obvious super expensive or rare headphones. I can tell you they're all worth over $1000 but I can't tell you if they're worth it. Something you have to find out for yourself.

When I finally let my discrete opamp burn in there was no turning back though. Talking about OPA Earth here.

The mic for me got broken on the catch or w/e keeps it in, so it would never stay in anymore. Just got a new pair of AKG K81DJ's and HOOOOLEEEE SHIIIIIIIIIIT these are so cool. I put them on and immediately can barely hear anything. I don't seem to feel the clamping that other people complain about, and the bass/lows on this are ridiculous. yea the chord is obnoxious, and my mic crapped out about a week ago =\ ordered some AD700s should be in tomorrow hopefully those are an improvement of some sort.
