Comparable to mechanical keyboard technology, which is decades old. Re-marketing the technology and selling it for $100 or more. This or gaming glasses don't give you an advantage, but a "perceived" one. Nickle and dimed to the ignorant masses. Obviously this is targeting the "mom and their kids" who game and need the parents to buy them expensive, useless, crap.

I hvae a pair of gunnars, I don't really like them for CS 1.6 though which was my game. Especially on maps like dust and inferno the yellow just fucks somethings up, and since I used the yellow crosshair it was just, bad for that.

Don't knock the companies who makes these products, knock the people who buy them... after all if there wasn't a market for the product, there wouldn't be a product.

Companies put millions of dollars into market research... they don't just say "hey lets make glasses for gamers" and then do it blindly hoping someone will buy them

100 bucks for a frame isnt that even expensive. If you buy a brand ones it can easily cost triple that. making this a cheap, useless piece of crap.

Euros, not pounds. But yeah, with about €0.72 to a dollar, that makes things pretty awesome. Not to mention how ugly of a name GUNNAR is.

I can say from experience that wearing them and their claim that it makes looking at a screen for hours on end easier is somewhat true, at the same time I don't go on my computer for 8 hours in a row and think "shit my eyes are SO tired right now, I should have worn my gunnars". Quite frankly its a subtle difference, I dont necessarily think its worth the price, my pair was 45-50 bucks given as a gift, I'll wear them once in a while but like I said, it IS a fatigue that is extremely subtle and you will notice the difference wearing these glasses, at the same time the yellow tint makes them ugly as hell to wear to anything but an MLG event, where 60% of the halo kids buy a pair because they're the "in" thing to wear I guess (not like Halo guys are practicing for 12+ hours a day like SC players are, yet they still use them).

Overall, if you legitimately think you get tired from staring at a screen a lot, maybe you should invest in a pair but I wouldn't go totally out of my way to get one, and if you play counterstrike with a yellow crosshair, do not get it

The only reason it helps at the "high level" is because they get paid by Gunnar to say they help. Korean pros don't need them, foreign pros dont need them, nobody needs them, like I said it helps with eye strain somewhat but I guarantee that 99.999% of teamliquid, before hearing about gunnar, didn't think to themselves that "man, my eyes sure are feeling tired from browsing teamliquid for 4 hours"

Hmmm.... I dunno, doesn't seem like too bad of an idea. And IMO, I quite like the look, maybe a different colored tint would be nicer though ahaha The price seems a bit ridiculous though.

If I ever decide to get a pair, then it'll mostly be for the looks as I doubt it'll make all that much of a difference.

I work in an office staring at a screen for 10 hours a day, then go home and stare at a screen for a few more....and I still won't buy these. Maybe if they could make me a caserole.

When it's time to get my new glasses I'll go for a frame that's headset friendly, and maybe polarized lenses...but not this stuff.

Imagine if these had APM technology to start blazing red, would be quite awesome.

But more on topic, I guess products like these (overpriced and not mandatory over the old normal alternative) have their buyers, but still, this seems over priced.
