Yeah I can say that one thing I liked about gunnars is I could turn down my screen brightness on my laptop (make the bulb last a few hours longer).

I am an Optician myself and i can guarantee you this isn´t the first Computer lenses on the market. None of them has had a sucess because its pretty useless to use such a tainted glass for gaming. Have ur proper dioptical power is much more worth. So before u think about to get one of these go and check ur vision.

ROFL at the capital letters and all the marketing names. Even if it works (I won't speak out against without actually trying them), their marketing communication plan is ridiculous.... are all the gamers 13yo ?

Would a pair of glasses with anti glare lenses help my eyes from getting so much ware from just my work day? I have to look at text for 8 hours a day and then half the time I spend a majority of my night on the computer as well so there have been times where my eyes just feel extremely drained and even dried.

Blink more often and use eye drops (visine/cleareyes), it helps keep the eyes moist. At work or at home I take at least a 5 min break each hour, wether to deal with some paperwork or just walk around and strech. You'll avoid more than just eye strain by doing so =)

Also thank you DJWheat for giving you're opinion on them.

I try to get up and walk around when I notice that I'm doing it but yeah.. I should really blink more lol. I find that if I'm reading something I don't blink for a very long time.

I've been seeing these around the lan and live events and always just wondered why do they wear them. Well now I know, but either way I rather not wear my glasses in front of the computer. I feel like it's just worse and especially since I can see close, but not far.

With purchase you get a code that you enter on b.net to disable fog of war in your ladder games allowing for the ultimate gaming experience.

but seriously? contacts allow me to keep my eyes open for longer than when I wear my glasses so if I want an advantage id have a artificial tear drop feeder so i never have to blink.

Well due to the slew of nerd rage I can't tell but does someone such as myself who doesn't need glasses at the computer but uses the computer for many hours daily get use out of this? Anyone here get this without the perscription?

How much easier will my eyes be treated, and are the comfortable compared to regular glasses? Are these good for my eyes and vision in the long term?

They could potentially help you in the long run but results will vary from person to person. There is a lot of review videos on YouTube, I'd check those out.

You know you can adjust the lighting of your screen to the time of day for free lol.

Either that or buy these glasses.

Something like this can be useful in tournament situations where you're playing on stage with huge spotlights etc. I remember how troubling it was for me at blizzcon & regionals to discern the monitor with the way the stage lights were set up. Although, maybe polarized lenses are better for this.

Gunnar's have been around for a while and are actually useful. I got them for when I was playing halo because sometimes when I would be playing it would bother my eyes, usually because of the movements I would be doing or maybe certain maps. But got really annoying sometimes.

After I got Gunnars I have never had this problem, I usually don't wear them when playing SC2 but they do have purpose and can be very useful.

Do some research and try them out before hating.

I won a pair of these in a raffle. They look really cool but they're definitely designed for people with high nose bridges (caucasians). If you want them and you're asian, prepare to have those nose pads digging into your eyes.
