If the question is how much could I possibly handle, it'd be a whole bottle. If the question is how much would I want to handle, it'd be none! Tabasco sauce tastes terrible. And it's actually really really low in scovilles... about the same level of hotness as a jalapeno pepper, which is one of the tamest of hot peppers. | ||

 People have been known to completely freak out and break things or accidentally hurt themselves or others after taking even a small bite of a habanero. You can actually get a little bottle filled with pure capsaicum extract. I think that's just about the single hottest (in flavor) substance in the known universe. It comes with a dropper and a warning on the bottle. Not recommended that you play jokes on your friends with that stuff... they will try to kill you afterwards. | ||

Finally somebody said this. Tobasco is pussy. It's good if you like the flavor or want to start out appreciating spicy foods. But Habanero sauce is where it's at, that's what you want to build up to if you like things hot. If your local stores don't carry it, you can order it online. BTW, habanero is no longer the hottest pepper. A new kind was discovered in India about 5 years ago, goes way past 800,000 SU. They haven't marketed it as a sauce yet though, as far as I know. | ||
