There are some articles and forum discussions in internet. The statement is not very bold, I personally do not see why I should trust the information from Wikileaks. If somebody is indeed interested in finding who is behind the events and what is their agenda, I would recommend to read other forums with older and more experienced people For example: http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread636006/pg1 Just in 30 seconds of googling I found these videos I am not backing them up, I just show that there is such point of view. Wikileaks does not reveal any big secret. Wikileaks gets good media coverage. Wikileaks gets good funds. Wikileaks can be shut down, but it is not. JA is harmless for USA. If he presented a real threat to US, he would be punished. CIA does not need legal permission to do this. Also it worth mentioning that those who question the official 9/11 investigation do not trust JA, because he and his files support the official version. I did not research Wikileaks case, I've just got impression that it is created to feed us with 95% of unimportant truth and 5% important lie. And somebody very powerful is behind it.

I guess when people read "US government" they assume its limited reach is USA only. We all know that the US government's reach far exceeds the US borders. See illegal abduction of German oder Italian citizens to Guantanamo by the CIA, or illegal execution of "enemy comatants" (read: people that the government does not like, regardless of whether they have received a fair trial or not). BUT: the US government does not bend or break all its rules at once, so it will not try to censor the Internet thanks to your 1st amendment. At least not for a while. All power to the US people!

Pretty sure Italy has about 30 international warrants out for CIA personel and that's going nowhere. Roman Polanski however.. tee-hee

It's a worthy cause, the LRA are disgusting. "Wagging the dog" though? This isn't even front-page news worthy. Almost nobody's going to know or care.

LONDON—Today, Monday 27 February, WikiLeaks began publishing The Global Intelligence Files – more than five million emails from the Texas-headquartered "global intelligence" company Stratfor. The emails date from between July 2004 and late December 2011. They reveal the inner workings of a company that fronts as an intelligence publisher, but provides confidential intelligence services to large corporations, such as Bhopal’s Dow Chemical Co., Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and government agencies, including the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Marines and the US Defense Intelligence Agency. The emails show Stratfor’s web of informers, pay-off structure, payment-laundering techniques and psychological methods, for example: "[Y]ou have to take control of him. Control means financial, sexual or psychological control... This is intended to start our conversation on your next phase" – CEO George Friedman to Stratfor analyst Reva Bhalla on 6 December 2011, on how to exploit an Israeli intelligence informant providing information on the medical condition of the President of Venezuala, Hugo Chavez. The material contains privileged information about the US government’s attacks against Julian Assange and WikiLeaks and Stratfor’s own attempts to subvert WikiLeaks. There are more than 4,000 emails mentioning WikiLeaks or Julian Assange. The emails also expose the revolving door that operates in private intelligence companies in the United States. Government and diplomatic sources from around the world give Stratfor advance knowledge of global politics and events in exchange for money. The Global Intelligence Files exposes how Stratfor has recruited a global network of informants who are paid via Swiss banks accounts and pre-paid credit cards. Stratfor has a mix of covert and overt informants, which includes government employees, embassy staff and journalists around the world. Source

Source That sounds pretty awesome, I'd like to work for Stratfor. Do any of the documents make any mention of the pay of Stratfor employees. I mean, corporate intelligence-that's my dream job right there, ethics be damned.

Corporations operating as nation states is a very scary concept. Not surprised that this was happening but the scale it horrifying. How can they make sure/prove that this stuff is legit though?

Its quite simple really since there is so much detailed evidence you can examine; All you need is to check specifics dates, situations and events that are being mentioned in the emails. The people that sent the emails can't really deny or lie about that.
