Aww i was hoping especially for special operations reports

Statistics and what not are fine, but this information really should be withheld until the conflict is over already. It's just going to drive up more emotional hatred on both extremes and hinder the ability to make choices based on logic. It's also free intel for the enemy...never a good thing.

Yeah there is that fear

I HIGHLY doubt there is anything in those documents that really matters. It's probably a load of stuff about casualties, civilian and military, that everyone knows happens but the military tends to hush up because it's embarrassing and sad when a missile misses and blows up Afghani civilians.
If any of this information endangers the lives of service members, then those responsible for leaking it should be punished to the fullest extent of the law, but if it's merely an account of the various embarrassing moments throughout the war that doesn't place anyone in danger, there is no reason for it to be hidden.
And there won't be any "government repercussions" for downloading this. What are they going to do, track down the (easily) thousands of people who have downloaded this information and...make them disappear? lol.

Uh, there probably will be at least a few interesting things in these if you bother to read it.
Probably quite a bit really.

America will probably have a lot of explaining to do once everything has been analysed. Why? This is war time in Afghanistan. Very few people are going to condemn the invasion of Afghanistan and unless there's something truly horrific that wasn't due to human error or wasn't dealt with, I'm not sure the contents themselves are that inflammatory (although the fact that the contents are available certainly is.) But you never know, there could be some gross negligence or something. #1 is the major sticking point, but I certainly don't think any other sovereign nation will question it.
1. The USA had legitimate reason to enter Afghanistan to pursue the Taliban and AQ 2. War is messy and mistakes happen 3. Things got messy and mistakes happened
One thing to pay attention to is the note taking skills of the military. Very close attention is usually paid to documenting any type of conflict. For instance, the reason we have all the leaked gunship footage is because each raid is recorded and reviewed later on. The estimates in these reports should be pretty accurate.
I'm extremely curious what kind of effect this has on the future of intelligence operations. :o

Uhm, you realize they're not based in the US, right?

Just downloaded the SQL and Google earth version, reading some of it as I'm typing this. The US army Will NOT be happy about this.

Summary
25th July 2010 5:00 PM EST WikiLeaks has released a document set called the Afghan War Diary (AWD), an extraordinary compendium of over 91,000 reports covering the war in Afghanistan from 2004 to 2010.
The reports, while written by soldiers and intelligence officers mainly describing lethal military actions involving the United States military, also include intelligence information, reports of meetings with political figures, and related detail.
The document collection will shortly be available on a dedicated webpage. http://wardiary.wikileaks.org/
The reports cover most units from the US Army with the exception of most US Special Forces' activities. The reports do not generally cover top-secret operations or European and other ISAF Forces operations.
We have delayed the release of some 15,000 reports from the total archive as part of a harm minimization process demanded by our source. After further review, these reports will be released, with occasional redactions, and eventually, in full, as the security situation in Afghanistan permits.
The data is provided in CSV and SQL formats, sorted by months, and also was rendered into KML mapping data.

Careful.
You'll wake up with men in black fatigues searching your home. They'll take you out to the black helicopters to take you for interrogation and you'll see that half the houses on your street are being searched because those people downloaded the files as well. Then you'll see on the news that the greatest manhunt in human history has been initiated for everyone who downloaded the files and that hundreds of thousands of arrests and "disappearances" are occurring worldwide.
Then TL mods will get notified and your account and all posts will be mysteriously nuked overnight.
They are coming.
