Hey Guys, it's been a while. TL has so many new users now which is awesome.
This is my first portrait in the spring, i made a new tortillion so I did a very blending heavy portrait to test it out. You'd be surprised at how easily you can make skin tones or any tones with dark charcoal. I really see no reason to use graphite. Of course i used one of nujabes' track. For everyone who is new and enjoy this kind of stuff, there are a lot more in my youtube channel.
try to watch in 720p, quality is actually pretty good.
For those of you missed my blog, a while back I did a portrait of our favorite iron man, Robert D Jr.
keep an eye on my blog since most time i post new stuff there. live life yo
I've done alot of amateur drawing, and I've alway stayed away from portraits... theyre just too hard T.T every time I look at my deviantart page (have not touched for like 2 years) I just think "sigh, if only I could draw people like the real artists out there."
Great work, I'm extremely impressed. I also had no idea that ThePortraitArt was a TL member.
Wowow I was happy when you drew Edward James Olmos as per my request... but now you drew someone who used to live three blocks from me... am I next on the list personally?
If anyone wants to be amused, read the comments on Glider's double-handed artwork video. So many people convinced it must be two people because drawing with both hands at once is 'impossible'. That's when you know you're a badass; people don't even believe you're for real.
edit- 999 posts... guess i wont be posting for a while

This would be hilarious. Micronesia with his head in his hands, staring at a Newton's Cradle. I'd buy it.
sorry to take this a bit off topic but if you haven't seen the anime associated with this nujabes song please do, it's called samurai champloo it's only 26ish episodes long and it's my personal favorite
so many portraits are completely bland and expressionless, you are one of the only portrait artists i've seen on yt to completely capture emotion, yeah the shading and shadows are nice but anyone can do that with enough time
All your drawings are a pleasure to watch Glider. Seriously, it's hard to get me to sit and watch a YouTube video all the way through when someone links me to something, but my jaw just drops further and further open when I watch yours. Keep it up
Dude made of win! At some points I thought: how is he going to make this look good? Them 20 secs later it looks amazing. The shades in the neck were awesome, but I didnt understand the shades in the ear. Sir, I am yealous of your skill! Keep up the nice art.
I love the skill... but I would like to see you move out of your comfort zone a little. You are incredibly adept at drawing portraits... have you tried any landscape/abstract etc?
man i loved it, first the eyes started to appear then shadow to add realism, and then the teeth, the mouth, and the whole thing is just great, u give me tears and goosebumps a double whammy.
Oh man, Glider you've always done an awesome job with your vids but right now it's 9.30am, the lab is as empty as a possible and it's the perfect stuff to start a day. And it's staring one of my favourite actress.
very soothing.
Now i can deal with this shitty working day with a smile on my face, thanks
On the related section seems like a lot of competition as popped up. (albeit not as good). Nice as always, although I think you could have chosen a better source image.
Thanks for the amazing comments and feedback guys.

lol, a lot of those comments are funny too, like some people say how it's obviously fake cuz one hand is so much fatter than the other etc.. i was just like wtf lol, i have one of the most symmetric hands.

eyes are almost always extremely important, not just this one but pretty much every one.

used to be for fun, i studied business in school, never touched art. Now days it's a combination of fun/work.
