My name is the way it is because essentially i'm just another plain old mediocre terran player who doesn't stand out : (
Otherwise i use dyllyn for like my email and everything. Typed my name into a "LOTR NAME TRANSLATOR" website and out it popped. Been using Dyllyn since like 12 years old
In other news: used my free name change to change my IGN from Dyllyn to GenericTerran. Except I only got as far as GenericTerra, stupid character limit. So now it's GTP.
GTP actually rolls off the tongue pretty well imho lol

Theres a family who lives on my street and their last name is Tenant and at the time I didn't even know it was a word, so I needed a name and I though that sounded cool but I spelled it as Tennet.

I used to play nethack, and I like the letter Z

My name is a spoof of firebathero.
The localization for marauders in the korean sc2 client is firebear (or at least that's what I've heard from watching the GSL). Being that the firebat was removed from multiplayer and the marauder is basically in the same tech position as the firebat was it seemed like a natural replacement.

My forum name initially was plankton. I got that name because I couldn't think of a name when I registered in a forum many years ago, and plankton from that Spongebob cartoon was in the TV at that time so I just picked that.
I dropped the -ton just recently. Added teh before plank because I liked it when an Australian shoutcaster called me "the plank" in a CoD4 online tournament match in SEA. It was kind of a habit for him to say 'the' before a player's name, and it stuck on me ever since. The 'teh' is misspelled intentionally because of preference.
As for my Bnet ID, I picked Litebrite because it sounded cool. My inability to produce quality names hinders me so much whenever I get to enter a name so I just grab hold of whatever word I think is awesome and call it a day.

First Esel means Donkey , so i came to this ID because before I started playing SC2 i played WoW and there is a race called Tauren which is half human half cow and my really first idea when i saw this was : " wow that looks like an donkey " and since that i decided to call myself donkey , even alot of people do very bad jokes I like this name because i also get a lot of positiv notes for it :D

Slith is a critter in the game Unreal. Was in search for a nickname when I got my Internet. Picked this. People came to know me by this nick. Guess I'm stuck.

My ID is a part of the Album "Doxa o Revelation" from the French Black Metal Band Crystallium. edit: it's also a swiss watchmaker, and apparently it means glory in greek. didn't know that^^

Rune from Phantasy Star 4 was really cool. Game-i was a big ladder when I was playing serious.
Rune + Game-i = RuNei

My name is Sandy, and Sands was taken on AIM, so I just added -er to it. Now if I create characters I just add Sand to everything (including purposely lame ones like Sandle).
I still like my D2 barbarian though. I had a friend named Harry who couldn't grow a whisker if his life depended on it, so I named my barbarian ScaryHairy.

There was this indian guy i worked with and I called him Father Bear, because he was older then me by about 15 years and he looked like a bear. He called me douglas.
One day we were eating together in the lunch room and i was eating pizza. The name douglas kinda spread pretty fast in the store and someone came in and said "How's the Pizza, Douglas?" and the old indian man broke out in laughter saying Pizzadouglas.
Clearly it stuck.

I take my names from characters I like in books that I read, most of the time. Stirlitz is the german name a soviet spy took to work in germany during the time before and during the second world war in a fiction book called "17 moments of spring". It's one of my favourite books(or series as it has 3 more following it) and as I liked the character a lot I took the name for my ID. A series was made out of it in the cinema too and it's an incredible series if you like espionage films, you can find it on youtube with english subtitles. In RPG games I usually went by the name "Morkai" who was a wizard in one of R.A.Salvatore's books. I didn't like that character, but I liked the name and the title that followed(He was Morkai the Red, I think and I always pictured my RPG toon as a wizard in a red robe so I adopted it
It's not really creative, lol, but that's how I picked mine.

when i was younger (like high school) i started studying ancient languages (in France it can be a subject so i picked ancient greek, dont ask...) anyways I was really into it and into history of the mediteranean civilizations and I came across the phenician for some reason.
In phoenician ba'al is a title meaning something like "lord" or "master" a bit like "sir" in English.
I thought it was neat so i picked it. Then diablo 2 LoD came out and everybody made a couple jokes about how they "ran me" etc... but i guess i was still alright with having the name of the final boss.
At one point I used Hrvatska (meaning Croatia for it s a great country and i love the Tshirt of their football team (red and white squares) but it was a bit tricky for people to pronunce it offline so I came back to Baal.
As for WGT it stands for WGTour, an old and now dead ( sadly) website that usd to have a great clan league and a nice ladder before iCCup existed.

I literally spun in my chair when I made my first char on diablo 2 and saw my sleeping bag: Nebo. I've used this for 8 or so years now
