Everbody knows that if you want somebody killed you have to approach the federal police with money and they will do it

In fact, with enogh money you can do whatever you want in Mexico.

Don't step in Ciudad Juarez, Tijuana and almost any city close to the frontier. Mexico city its only safe on vacation because even the thieves, drug dealers and the rest of the gang spend their time in Acapulco. Guadalajara city ins't so fucked up as well as some parts of Monterrey.

Cabo San Lucas and Cancún still are great places to be, and don't go close to the south frontier because of the 'maras' ( another dangerous gang)

not really, the south an absolutely safe and peaceful place

Dumb question, but I remembering hearing about how American growers were devaluing the price of Marijuana from the side of the Mexican cartels. What would happen if over night the U.S. just legalized Marijuana?

BBC about the Mexican Drug war, no idea why it won't show on forum:

Juarez is the most dangerous city in the world atm. Scary thinking its so close to El Paso.

El Paso consistently ranks as one of the top 3 safest cities in the US. I guess anyone that wants to commit a crime in the area just goes across the border.

First of all Monterrey is not the safest city in the country, what moron told you that? its in the North of mexico that is plagued with cartels.

As rule of the thumb the more south of mexico you are, the safest the place is (with the exeption of Mexico city that is unsafe but not because of drug dealers).

So let me open your eyes here, anyone who believes the government is in a real war against the cartels is a naive child with no idea of what he is talking about.

The government created and control the cartels, the Gulf cartel was created and supported by the PRI (party that reigned for 70 years) and when the PAN took over they started the Pacific cartel to balance the forces.

At least 5 governors cannot step on american soil because they are being charged with drug traffic charges.

The army is absolutely useless, the generals are bough by the cartels and they stage some shows for you to make you believe in this illusion of war.

The only way to stop this is to legalize drugs, but we all know that will never ever happen because it is not in the interest of the government our lives or well being but their own benefit and they profit quite a lot from drugs.

Only a retard would agree that these constant massacres are a sacrifice that justifies the control of the government over what substances we put in our god damn body.

Saying that's it's not a real war is insulting to the people that have died fighting it and is the equivalent to saying that 9/11 was an inside job. We love going around and saying "Si se puede! Si se puede!" but when it comes down to it, all we do is complain about everything from our soccer players to our government while we sit on our fat asses deciding whether we want a Tecate light or Pacifico beer. Stop acting like it's something that nothing can be done about and insulting those that have died trying to make a difference unlike your pathetic, lazy, self-loathing ass.
Are you sure teamliquid is the correct forum for you? I'm sure there's plenty of other places that will cater to your idiocy.
Oh yeah, I have experienced all of this first hand so the whole "I'm Mexican so I don't need any sources and don't question what I say" argument isn't really valid k?

Some of them may be bought off but that hardly generalizes. Source for your full claim please.

wait.. did you just ask me for sources about generals being corrupt and being bough by the cartel?

yea, he did - either there is proof of what you say or it is a rumor, almost like a conspiracy theory

its always nice when a 23 post nobody tells me if im sure tl.net is a forum right for me...

Your attempt of "its insulting the people who died" its the same redneck argument to defend the illegal war in Irak.

It is not an insult against the people who died that i say there is no real war, the insult is that these people have lost their lives for the unmeasured greed and corruption of our government.

Also dont randoml lump me with ignorant people who ignorantly complain without even having a grasp of reality.

Change is not brought by a manipulated foolish soldier shooting a couple of bullets against the cartels, change is made by the whole society, by creating awareness, by being fed up and angry against this situation.

When did i ever say "oh u cant do shit about it so just sit back and chill", no never, fight it, resist it but first you have to know what you are fighting against and clearly you do not, you think you have to fight against the cartels just like an ignorant american thinking he has to fight terrorists.

Wow, the Los Zetas make the Yakuza look like amateurs. Apparently the leader was in an elite special forces DEDICATED to fighting drug cartels, and a druglord recruited him and 30 other elite assassins/special forces soldiers and formed the gang.

Also, TECATE LIGHT? its obvious you were born (or raised!) near the north border, everybody knows that only Victoria prevail (Negra Modelo, Nochebuena, Cartablanca, Corona y Bohemia as rivals).

Tecate is alright, but only in Monterrey i have seen the light version of it being more popular than the original.. thats one thing i cant understand, cmon, really.. a LIGHT beer?

Haha, any mexican with a grain of common sense knows that the biggest cartels came out from the government. You see in the news some cartels being brought down in some area, some even known cartels, but it's never every cartel in a single area, there's always someone left. The government is just clearing the path for monopolies.
