If you are going to deliberately being obtuse to misinterpret all my posts we aren't going to get anywhere. It was an example that many corrupt governments cook their numbers, I actually gave you an specific example of how Mexico is cooking the murders by reporting people as missing, so this year murders are going down while missing people are skyrocketing, this is a deliberate move to decieve.

Guns and violence can fix any problem, socialists are evil and anyone espousing this ideology is the devil. Any and all polls and reporting showing that people in his own country might not think as he does and might have different ideas then he does is enough for this ghoul to wish for a terrorist attack at a stadium.

Regimes, authoritarian or not, do not publish polling data, that's not how polling data works. There is no data available out there that puts her at being unpopular, you can choose to either accept that fact or not that's your prerogative. Her worst poll ever is quite recent, from AtlasIntel for Bloomberg (both of those tend to overestimate rightwing support for ideological reasons) and she "slid to new lows" at 56% there, which is waaaay above average for a president in their second year. There's an Enkoll poll at 71% that's even more recent than that but I don't know Enkoll so I can't speak to it. On a more micro level, you know, if she wasn't popular you wouldn't need a small explosion in a football stadium in order to shake your country, you would just need the next election. This is why no liberal in the US went "YES Trump attacked Iran that will tank his popularity and we'll win the next elections!" That was not needed because he was already unpopular and already losing.

What I mean she isn't as popular as Lopez was, particularly internally within the party, Lopez had absolute control, there were even speculations if he was going to attempt to change the constitution to reelect himself, thats the kind of power he had, however he mishandled COVID horribly and his popularity took a dive probably thwarting his ambitions. I bet big on Sheinbaum winning the election even on a 9:1 payout and Morena will win the presidency again in 5 years and they will rule for a looooong long time, Morena swallowed the PRI which was a semi-dictatorship that ruled Mexico for 70 years, so I expect another semi-dictatorship again unless we get another black swan like COVID was, in this case the World Cup but frankly I don't think even that would change much, just trigger US intervention which we desperately need to fight the cartels that rule the country. Hell I even have positions right now in "her favor" so I'm under no delusion. ![]() I feel as you think that popularity means Morena is doing a good job but let me remind you that Chavez had 70%+ popularity when Elected and never dipped beyond 50% despise being a fucking maniac that destroyed Venezuela, people are retarded and don't understand economy.

You literally compared her polling favorably to Kim Jong-un, dictator of North Korea, and you're calling me obtuse for asking for proof outside of Facebook comments that Mexico's government fixes their favorability polls like North Korea's. You're either trolling or you have some mental/literacy deficiency too severe for me to deal with.

We were very clearly talking about popularity in general, not about popularity in the party. You also mentioned that AMLO had 65% popularity, if that is correct then she's above that in just about every poll I've seen, so she seems more popular than him, not less, despite being "uncharismatic" and "a puppet". It's the correct thing to do to not let me scurry away, you are right with the figures I was wrong, they are independent polling. That being said, very often the numbers dont tell the correct story, for example, Biden broke records when he defeated Trump and nobody in their right mind would tell you that Biden was more beloved or liked than Obama. AMLO was a messianic figure (he also polled at 70ish in his 1st year), he won the elections in a landslide in elections with real opposition, people had stuffed figures of him and he had undisputed absolute political power, Sheinbaum doesn't. After AMLO's term there were 3 contenders in Morena for succession, (the other Parties were drawing dead), the most likable character was Marcelo Ebrard but AMLO didn't want somebody popular with his own will and agenda, he chose Sheinbaum who was more controllable. I'm not biased since I despise AMLO with all my heart way more than I do Sheinbaum, I don't know how many Mexicans are in TL.net but i'd bet they would also assure you that AMLO was way more beloved than Sheinbaum and its not even close.

What? Biden broke the overall vote record, his victory margins were way, way smaller then both Obama elections and the only reason why he "broke records" was because of the record turnout. Now, those results = elections. Job approval / Popularity wise, coming in to their first term, Biden had 57 % job approval while Obama came in with 69 %. For reference, Sheinbaum won her election by 61.2 %, Biden won the popular vote in 2020 by 51.3 %. I don't know if you are lazy or just stupid, but you are not convincing anyone, I'd say that above all, you are just out of your league and are trying to defend your propagandized views against facts and losing very, very badly.
