But it's not only about reflexes - i just like the "feel" and "flow" of AR9 more, feels so much more natural to me And when i play AR8 and too many notes are visible at once, i just can't read them properly (Desire drive is like hell to me, and i can FC it with AR9 easily :<). Guess that means im just bad at reading. Oh and i can't play AR7 AT ALL if the notes arent appearing one by one, but gladly i learened to HR it. I'd gladly learn to HR AR8 too, even if AR10 is still way too fast for me, but AR8+HR usually means OD8+, and i cant get a good accuracy on that high OD
HR = 1.4x AR,OD and drain. AR6+HR = AR8.6 AR7+HR = AR9.8 AR8+HR = AR10. So HR usually gives a map AR10, OD8.6 or OD10
Do you know the time lengths for the ARs? I feel like AR9 to AR10 is a larger reduction in time than AR8 to 9... I've been wondering if that's true or not.
I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this question, but while for ranked score only the highest score across all the versions of a map count, for accuracy every version counts individually, right?

Woah, seems like AR7+HR and AR8+HR is almost the same, but AR8+HR feels like impossible to follow fluidly but i can do AR7+HR w/o any problems, so what the hell? Or is the scaling not linear (like someone already suggested)?
Looks linear to me. It might not feel so because while the times decrease by the same amount, they're a progressively larger amount proportional to your reaction time. Since the average human reaction time is 0.22 seconds (rounded)...
Going from AR8 to AR9 you're losing 29.5% of your "free time" to position cursor/prepare to hit. Going from AR9 to AR10 you're losing 42.1% of your "free time". So while it's a straight reduction normal-time wise, a larger proportion of your non-reaction time is being lost with each increase, so it'll feel harder. I could have checked AR7/6 as well, but I'm just too lazy.
Was curious about this in the past myself but never bothered checking until now.
I have 1003x on Bloody Night too, but my acc is pretty garbage
I remember I had 99+% going into the last 30 seconds of the song and then my fingers were just like NOPE LOL and I tanked to 97%
Edit: Also I have a feeling beta accuracy only takes into account either recent scores, scores that affect your pp (so ones over rank #500 on any particular map), or else it takes your average accuracy and all scores that are significantly lower than it are excluded. That's just my theory on it at least, I'm not really complaining since now I have to go for 99% beta acc. :3

Hmm I don't think it takes your recent scores, because my beta accuracy hasn't changed despite getting a couple of bad scores in recent days..
For the other two suggestions, doesn't it help accuracy farming? If you did poorly (like 80%) on a beatmap, I don't think it's easy to break into top 500. However, I think this best explains beta accuracy...
Beta Accuracy is nothing else than your average accuracy over all the maps that are eligible for pp. So this can include multiple maps from one mapset, granted they are in the top 500.

I should point out that the whole "human reaction time" thing refers to something you're not predicting. When you are playing a music game your brain is constantly trying to predict when the next thing is going to happen. When your brain predicts something will happen (especially if you're familiar with the map) you can react much quicker. You could probably be precise to within 10ms or less if you trained well enough.

Eh, technically true, but unless you can play the map off pure memorization (like with an invisible skin) then reaction time will matter in some way, which makes my point still true, just to a less extreme extent.
I wasn't insinuating that my numbers are exactly how it is, just an example to show why it feels like a bigger jump in difficulty than the linear increase would suggest. And your point would explain why playing a familiar map at AR10 is much more doable than an unfamiliar one. ^^
Reaction time is always a factor, but if you have good rhythm you can figure out when a note should happen so it removes that specific area of surprise.
Normally I'd just blame it on me being bad at the game, but this doesn't happen on any other map. So many 100's, the map isn't even hard, like one note from an FC, and its a C with 85.9% acc.
I know its nothing compared to what you guys are able to do, But since I started playing this game 2 months ago, I thought there was absolutely no way in hell I would ever be able to pass this map. It became practically my life goal. To think i was finally able to do it, it's almost surreal haha. Im so happy :D
Now time to get working on harder shit (and s'ing old songs if im not lazy)
