There were songs where I hit all the notes and still got the X. My bar wasn't in the "caution" level at all. I know in EBA game it's based off of the bar, but in OSU I've found that it appears more based on how well you hit the notes. Maybe no one notices it like this because naturally if u can play the song you're hitting perfects anyways? I could be absolutely wrong, maybe it's even a user setting. I just know I've got X with a high bar. I'm so addicted to Whip the Blip's hardest difficulty right now... | ||

I thought it was based off of how well you hit the notes. There were songs where I hit all the notes and still got the X. My bar wasn't in the "caution" level at all. I'm almost certain it's whether or not you are in the warning.And yeah, dying mid spinner/mid slider SUCKS, but that has nothing to do with the game design really, it's just the map (and you were almost certainly near-dead anyway).
