So the man vs. machine patch has just gone live today so I thought that we should try and get folks playing again. Really totally changed the way that you can play tf2. I'm personally really excited for this game type, has some MOBA qualities that should bring a cool dynamic to the game. I haven't gotten to play it yet though, seems like they are still working things out on the server end of things. So going to have to sit and wait. I'd suggest that you guys all re-download and start playing now!!! | ||

fuck around the 1st map, it doesn't matter what you pick as long as you dont buy anything pick demo and equip bootlegger/targe/half zatiochi get damage upgrade, crit upgrade, if u can afford it get another damage upgrade wait for roudn to start and charge the bomb carrier, critting him and probbaly killing him, or at least killing him with the following hit. you now have free crits that do 200 damage and heal u instantly on kill. run around and kill things. keep getting damage upgrade until u max it out. now you one hit scouts/snipers/spies/engis and by the lvl 3 damage upgrade u can kill heavies with one crit then max out attack speed, the last point and crit, and go tank if spawn is giants + support kill a support and use the free crits to chop the soldier down really quickly if spawn is just mass stand on the bomb and swing your sword. a damage upgraded demoknight melts tanks and soldiers very quickly and can often get the medics to drop charge with one swing | ||

I tried to get in about 6 times before I gave up. Each queue was about 30 minutes long. I am hoping that maybe I can sign in a bit later and the queues have calmed down and maybe I can get in. | ||

Advanced2 mode, holy shit. First wave was 6 giant sandman scouts, 36 punching heavies, and 6 regular sandman scouts. Couldn't get past wave 1 because someone from that shitty =(ego)= clan was holding us back. -_- | ||

700+ Overheals just from money pickups + health on kill when you have a Scattergun (probably the best single target weapon in the game). What kills that? Nothing really. Unless the Scout is bad and suicidal. Combine that with the fact that Scout is the best class to pick up money with anyway (additional pickup range) and if you have a crit buff and extended clip, you just wreck face even with giant bots roaming around. I would like to play in the advanced modes. I don't know if you can play them on custom servers tho'. | ||

If you're an admin, the command is "tf_mvm_popfile advanced/advanced2/ironman". You have to restart the map. | ||

It's full upgrade tree is absurdly cheap and you can just stack crit canteens afterwards. | ||
