If you're interested in watching some high level competitive TF2, the ETF2L nations cup final between Sweden and Finland will be played around next week or the week after that. I'll keep you updated with links, STV, streams with skilled commentators etc.

Hm, I should follow tl.net more so I don't miss this thread. On a semi-related note best of luck with your clansearching traced, saw that post on the gotfrags. Hopefully that time you have put into your aim pays off considerably - I am in the reverse situation, lacking in aim and working hard to bring that up but being one of the most clued in players I know, and it took a lot of effort to get my game knowledge that far. Well ... medicing for Intensity helped (for those who may be familar with the frag video, hehe : p). Sadly they disbanded, but at least I get to play pocket soldier again.
edit. Bash, Appe posting here. Mad. Will there be stv for the latest ETF2L games against diggy on Gully/Badlands? Very little going on in australian TF2 at the moment and it is always a pleasure to watch those two teams play.
edit. Found them. http://www.resupply.eu/index.php?site=files&file=32

thanks haxxorized. if you need aim help i can spec you, i can usually pick out some mechanical things to work on. i've also spent a lot of time with muscle memory aim maps (check the gotfrag map thread - focus on the blocks 75%, tracking the bots 25% - keeping your sniper rifle dot on the scout really helps), ammomod, bball, and quake live hitscan, all of which help different things. my smash melee background also helps my dm a lot.
tbh i'm pretty surprised at the negative frags, i think the only people who actively dislike me are the hackers i've called out. plus i'm pretty tight with a lot of the well-respected guys. hell, jk fucking started the ranking system and he's my buddy.
and i mean, if they have issue with my ranking, (who cares, really?), i think the demo clearly shows my tech skill is damn close to the high level, if it isn't.

To be honest at the end of the day issues with my aim probably come down to playtime and horribly fucked initial mouse settings when I picked the game up (horizontal/vertical sensitivities set to different levels for some time, for example). Of my hours played only about 75- ~ hours is what you would call competitive, and of that less than 30 was spent in invite level equivalent play. At the end of the day consistency comes with experience. Only really stepped into ammomod (the current team I play for has constructed an australian equivalent to the american servers) in the last two weeks, so I expect that it'll come with time. Right now all I'm happy with is my juggling in ultiduo situations - something I've always been pretty strong with.
Not that expert advice wouldn't be appreciated, it's more I just know my limitations - and right now we're so fixated on working out issues with our gran third to courtyard second push I haven't had time to think of much else D =. I think being weakest in aim has probably initially been a benefit since primary/pocket/whatever is so heavily dependant on positioning and awareness anyway. Current team has an enormous amount of fragging potential coming from some top tier CS/DODS turned tf2 scouts and a of a Quakelive/tribes dueller roaming soldier/secondary but teaching them top tier strats/timing/thinking is the next step up for our team.
Gotfrag has always been a pretty circlejerking community though, I doubt it's much to worry about. At the end of the day the underrated players are appreciated by the best - Vic in Mad Dogz is a pretty good example of that for us at least.
