Growth as a player can be truly painful if you do it wrong, play too casually, but when you get good, it becomes the most satisfying and fun game ever.

Could someone tell me the basic strategies for de_aztec and de_dust2? What I'm especially interested in is weapon/eq buying priorities and some general team tactics (best to stick together as T while going for bombsite B etc.). I'm asking for that because I'm not much of a CS player (perhaps I'll start this month) but I've decided to return to playing CS-manager. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=25922 <--- more info (out of date though)

If you think elsewise, you need to brush up on your esports knowledge.

My guess is you play it on pubs and theres no tactics to be used on pubs, cause everyone go on their own. To be completely honest I think pubbing makes you bad and you end up picking bad habits there. If you're trying to improve, join a team that scrims and stay out of pubs as much as you can, pub players are usually younger and inexperienced, casual players who are part of a community and pub with friends or competitive players trying to brag to a crowd that doesn't care (yes, those are lame, kids who understand the game and go in pubs to drop crazy scores and impress noobs, its kinda sad if you ask me lol). As far as the part where you said "best to stick toghether as T while going for bombsite B", there isnt really a bombsite of choice, its really a mindgame over 15 rounds (the length of a half in competitive CS) during which you should hit both bombsites, run fakes to try and force a rotation and catch players out of position.

For some reason I think we may have played in UGS or something, but I don't know why we would have unless UGS had weird regions or something. I never thought any of the Central M/P teams were that good tbh, except for aoX. D: Even BiO was pretty easy in scrims, but CAL-m Atlantic was ridiculous back then. A few seasons later in P, I even remember c9 dropping on us in a scrim when it was like 23-0 or something. Ehe, here we go. + Show Spoiler + ![]() EDIT: Oh, and Agent was ridiculous too. Scrimming Agent on Nuke was like taking on Shaq from behind. They raped us so hard through the walls that we were sure they were cheating, until they basically did the same thing at CPL. :/

It's tough, for each shot you have to move your mouse in a pattern. We should get some scrims going ![]()

As for getting better, you can do this 2 ways, analyzing demos to see setups/strategies to work on your positional play, and death matching to make your aim better, then applying improved aim with the ingame smarts in scrims/matches. I can go indepth in strategies and setups but I'd rather not atm, if you wanna talk to me I'm in TL irc as anTi___ or pm me and I'll give you my steam name.

I still play CS 1.6 sometimes, but nothing too serious since I stopped playing in leagues a while back. All I really do now with CS is either playing in a CSDM server or pugging with friends. It's hard to find the right people to be with as a team and having the same goals. I've been on way too many teams that would die after 1 season of CEVO or CAL. I kinda regret quitting SC for CS now that I'm done with competitive CS... lol.
