Like ferrogel, the inputs for 24 towers (six 4-tower reaction chains) cost around 15b. Where as 24 towers of nanotransisotrs (8 3-tower chains) costs around 4b. Goons get charged 1m per day per tower, and I go through about 60b in fuel per month. So that is around 100b in overhead monthly just for taxes/fuel. You want to be at least 1 cycle ahead of your inputs so you have time to import and sell, so that is around another 60b in extra inputs. So I probably keep at least 160b constantly tied up just to have it running, and then another 60b per week for inputs. My friend actually now manages all the towers 100 percent. All I do is sell and buy stuff in Jita for him and import. It's a great system :D | ||

Also vov if I want to do some hi sec anoms into escalations, is there anything cheaper than a mach I can do it with? I can rum the anoms in a t3d or gecko vexor no problem, but if I want to run the escalations how shiny do I have to go? | ||

Spacemonkey's Alliance(SMA) angered a 3rd party gambling site for eve called I Want ISK(IWI) with various accusations of things like Real Money Trading(RMT) and corp theft among other things. None of these accusations really went anywhere and things seemed to kind of fall off the table for the moment. Then IWI contracted Psychotic Tendencies(TISHU) to go and harass SMA members, cause infrastructure damage, and generally make life miserable for anyone trying to do anything in SMA owned space. They also took control of more then a few systems from SMA, enabling them to push deeper and deeper into SMA owned space. This caused a fair few members to up and leave SMA which SMA would spin as trimming the fat, and TISHU's antics were so effective that eventually Goonswarm(Goons), the core member of The Imperium, were called in to help their ally. Eventually towards the end of TISHUs contract Pandemic Horde(PH), the Newbro/Training corporation for Pandemic Legion(PL), one the oldest and generally high skilled corporations, came along for the fun. PH started a war of around the clock attrition on SMA space. At this time the way to take control of space is to fly to objects in space, and use your ship to "Hack" the object. The time the hack takes for attackers is based on Indexes which are based on how much each individual system is being used, either for mining, or for killing NPC pirates for money. PH camped these systems around the clock, making it nearly impossible for SMA to do anything in space without the risk of attack. TISHU had had some success in this early on, but PH's much larger member count made it possible to have 5 to 10 pilots in every system at all times, and because nothing was being done in most SMA space, the Indexes quickly fell which would make it much easier to Hack the objects to take control of the space which resulted in large swaths of SMA space being lost over the next weeks. It was around this time that TISHU's contract was up, and as such they passed the torch off to PH and PL for a week or two and went back home, things were generally quiet for a time, although it was noted that at some point during this time PL was seem moving its largest and most powerful ships somewhere around where the fighting was taking place, indicating that this might be more then simple harassment. This was shown to be true when a large number of alliances not in The Imperium, the Coalition that SMA and Goonswarm are a part of, redeployed their pilots to the new front against The Imperium. The collection of groups are too long for me to list here, but see evenews24.com for a full list, as of the time of this post. At this time Goons and Co. have lost a few large battles and decided to up and abandon one of the regions they controlled in order to fall back to a more defensible position, and none of the groups fighting them seem to be content with this, and seem fully prepared to push further in and continue to threaten Goons control over the northern reaches of space. Feel free to ask me to clairfy anything, and I am sure I missed some things, but I tried to cover it all as best I could. For full disclosure I am a member of a corporation within TISHU and there is bias in this post, but I tried to cover it as best I could. | ||
