The way high level players do 1;1 is APSH with three other slots closed (so you get 700 gold and a chicken), the first player to die loses. Any hero will suffice, but people generally go sf/viper still.

the only real luck factor is the ramp control, how well you maintain your creep wave so the enemy is fighting uphill whenever possible.

Did anyone see the wg vs w4sp replay? The result is considered a big upset right? And is it solely because wg was outpicked? If so, why would they allow themselves to be outpicked? Their formation is gank heavy based and they did have a big lead early game, did they push too late or something?

WG v W4sp was a fairly big upset. WG went an much earlier strat than w4sp did and failed to dominate the lanes the way they needed to. They pushed ineffectively and a little slowly, but it was basically the great counterpush/lategame of QoP + Centaur + SF + Leshrac that let them stay in it. WG usually plays their best with travka on a late game hero.

Apparently they scrim mYm weekly but would like to play US teams, and not the scrub ones in #dotaunderground. I directed them over to #prodota and asked 50, FD, EG, vTs to do the same.

If not just ask cubs to scrim them since he's always sitting in there gg.

so these chinese noobs i play with are pissing me off cuz they tell me to use my slow first everytime theres a gank or something. I keep telling them lv1 slow does absolutely nothing and when qop is low level she has limited mana and it's better used for blink and attack or something rather than slow. I'm not talking about a 3v1, then i'll use slow. Otherwise I really see no need for it.

k i just checked out all of my replays and no one gets slow early, im glad im right and those noobs are wrong, they seriously say stuff like, dude a qop is useless without slow, or, a qop can't kill without slow, etc
