That was also the problem with joining ggc, there are noobs and leavers everywhere and I hate leavers and noobs in pubbies, but I ban them and share banlists with many players... in ggc I can't do this. Any way out of this dillemma? I'd like to make a higher lvl play to "proove" myself, if thats even possible... | ||

The reason might be that in dota you have to rely so much on your team rather than yourself. If dota was a 1v1 game where you control 3 heroes or something I'd probably be focused to get better. But since most everyone who plays with us plays with mostly a solo-mindset I feel like a large part of Dota is missing from our games. We almost never pick heroes in order to compliment our allys' picks, and we never pick out a full setup of heroes that work great together, we just pick whatever we feel like or random. Sure it's fine that people pick whatever they want, but I think it's not nearly as fun as picking/playing as a team. And when we do try to do team stuff in-game, it often doesn't work very well, or at least doesn't work nearly as well as heroes that are great in combinations.. or because there was a lack of coordination. EDIT: AH just remembered! Our games are often (but not always) long games that rely mostly on the team's carries rather than anything else. I don't think this is normal nor how the game was intended. Several heroes are geared towards early and early-mid games..and are virtually useless lategame, but those are less used and less seen in our games (lina is almost never used in our games despite her being an A-class hero, why?!?) because we are unable to take advantage of the early game enough using ganks and lane control to determine the outcome of the game, and also we're usually unable to finish games early on as well..so the game usually drags out to lategame and so the team with the most/strongest carries will win. Please correct me if I'm wrong as I haven't really been playing with you guys much lately so I'm not sure if this is accurate | ||

Watch Me and Nevake take on the Shinbi and Supa, only reason we lost is because Nevake wasn't paying attention to his hero when playing with crow. IMO Nevake > Supa because he listens. =o Let's have a watch, shall we? I think I played a perfect Sven game today in our clan war with massive ganks, fast blink (was on 6.48b) and just raped pants. But that stuff isn't needed in the average TL IH, so why bother getting it. But so far with APXL it tends to be just the same 10-20 heros recycled with the same 6-10 banned heros over and over, which is fine but meh, i'd prefer some different lineups from time to time. Which could be accomodated with 10 bans each if we get sick of seeing magnus, potm, qop, zeus, etc... There's some players though that have complaints about our games, the quality, and the lack of people playing proper roles / lack of ganking etc. I suggest said players group up, form a team, then play vs stronger players without splitting them up and relying on them. Say, "oh shit, we're playing vs heens clan, where every member is fucking awesome". So if you are forced to play with no strong players to rely on you will be forced to rely on each other and get better yourselves. They will likely take many harsh beatings, but that's what it'll take if they truly wished to improve. Anything else and they will probably for the most part rely on i.e. iefnaij or heen etc while learning to play at a "decent" level, but perhaps not nearly as well as they could without someone strong to rely on. | ||

But yea, since I can't play GGC (im on a mac) I just play SIG.. Mind you my stats are horrible :D But if you get over 1200 points and have a good win ratio of at least over 55% you can apply for VIP SIG. Which is really nice. Everyone is EXPECTED to play well, and not fuck about. If you dont play well or dont play with the team you loose your VIP status. I think it works well. maybe some of you guys already play SIG? | ||
