I would actually like it if they added perks which didnt just make you stronger, but would alter the gameplay. Bloody mess is a perfect example. It didnt give you any stats or powerups, it just changed the game in some way. Im hoping to see more perks like it.

You know my favourite memory of Fallout 2 was talking to that intelligent spore plant outside the old folk's home, and also that awesome little radscorpion (with glasses :D) that you can play chess with. Those were such funny moments I had as a kid. Also the weapons were so cool...when you crit kill someone with a YK42B pulse rifle (I still remember the exact name)...well its hard to explain. But its just one of the coolest death animations I've ever seen. Also playing as a martial arts expert, targeting someone's head and then reading the dialogue "good night gracie" when he got knocked out was great

God..everything was great. The dialogue, interacting with the mob in New Reno, breaking into the Sierra Army Depot and reading about the history of the nuclear war, and then interacting with a real AI. After all these years playing so many games, it still stands out to be as one of the best, maybe the best game I've ever played. If you guys want an example of really good dialogue watch the 'drill sargeant speech' from Fallout 2, you should be able to find it online. It sounds *real* and visceral, and at other times, the game has a wonderful sense of humor. Oh those days...I want to shed a little tear.

It's funny, in fallout as in baldur 2, my most memorable moments are always some kind of super hard battle now that I think about it.
In fallout it was a battle against slave traders if I remember well, came there totally unprepared, and basically everyone agro'ed and I remember a super long battle with prayers to hit or not be hit :D It was a single house iirc, and there was always one more guy coming after I killed one.
In BG 2, it was the beholder cave.

I tend to not remember a lot of dialogs or even the scenario.

Thats the beauty of an open world game tbh, be it turn-based strategy or FPS. Just the random shit you can get yourself into ends up being the most fun.

Well, all Games get better if you wait. Look at Witcher 3 1.01 vs 1.10 - its like a different Game with all the Patches (and Mods).
But well, you can be pretty sure its worth the Money. I paid 2.75€ for Fallout: New Vegas and put 270hrs into it. :D

Thats why I preordered the Game and Seasonpass already. But I got a pretty nice deal on GMG with a 30% Voucher out of their Newsletter, so I could not resist.

I liked what I saw in the trailers and I kind of enjoyed fallout 3 and new vegas. I say kind of because I enjoy the freedom and the gameplay is pretty OK, but I just never got into the story.

Then again I didn't like witcher 1 either but witcher 3 was fantastic.. Apart from the obvious do you think fallout 4 will be a very different experience from fallout 4?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say no, but, hey, who knows?

Since I'm assuming you meant different from Fallout 3, I'd expect that it will play out mostly the same as 3 and New Vegas with the key differences we've already seen. I don't imagine Bethesda are going to deviate strongly from the formula that was so successful in 3, so I hope we only go up.

I'm hyped, but LotV is more important and waiting for patches is probably a good idea after the catastrophy that was NV.

I'm the opposite of hyped tbh, I expect this to be like Skyrim was to Morrowind, where they continually change the game design to something that can only be described as "safe".

I suppose I'll have to relegate myself to re playing fallout 2, but I'm hoping this is going to be amazing. Bet it's not though.

That should be clear to everyone, this wont be "classic" fallout.
And this was also made before witcher 3 set new standards, i am curious what they will do for the next Elder Scrolls.

They would have had 1 more month to push the release, so im unsure if it will be a bugfest, ill just buy it, was never disappointed with those kind of games.

As long as Fallout 4 does what Fallout 3/NV and Skyrim did before it in being an exploration sim that makes you WANT to explore, I'll be happy. It's bethesda, so it probably isn't going to be without world-destroying inexplicable bugs, but if it makes me want to explore its world, I'm in.

Part of me wants to slightly believe that they will do it right, that maybe they realized what Fallout was all about. But I doubt it~~ still going go read reviews and watch a bit of it to see what changed and how. And if they actually learned how to make a RPG instead of empty, nice looking world.
