Dallas, Texas will play host ESEA's Season 18 LAN finals this weekend, April 17th to April 19th. With four teams qualifying from North America and four from Europe, they will be playing for the $144,000 prize pool--ESEA's largest prize pool to date.
The event is hosted by Jack Westerman, with commentary lead by RoomOnFire duo Anders Blume and Auguste "Semmler" Massonat, while Jason "moses" O'Toole and Cory "megaman_ts" Gilbert join them.

i want to see nikolinho do well, before mouz he had always been stuck in all these subpar balkan teams that didn't really allow him to shine and show his true potential.

Ever since Hiko left C9 they've looked more and more desolate. mousesports is a tier 3 EU team and they looked pretty strong against C9 there on the first map. Some of the mistakes from Semphis and Shahzam are particularly jarring, stuff that REALLY shouldn't happen at the pro level. Stepping away too far from the planted bomb to give won rounds away for example.

What i've learned from the finals so far:
1. NA's skill level has dropped even more (although Nihilum showed some promising plays)
2. "Professor Chaos" has to be the greatest nickname in CS xD
|
This is actually already more exciting than I initially thought it would be, not in terms of NA teams, but in terms of how fnatic didn't clean sweep it as I had anticipated.

KennyS needs to start hitting his shots soon or else Fnatic will just roll over Titan. Also Apex can be likened to someone like Byali considering their aim but he has none of that tactical awareness.

Titan are so predictable on CT side , can't see them ever winning a tournament with such predictable setups every map on CT. Salute to Ex6tenz's leadership tho , getting to finals and semifinals with such limited players like Apex , Maniac and RPK is a testament to itself.

yeah, there was a period when ex6tenz was almost every round sitting behind those boxes in checkers. we actually call that spot ex6tenz because of that within my circle of friends i play with. nowadays he has more variance to his B hold, often being on top of one of the site boxes to try to get the advantage from the unexpected angle.
