![]() I've met a couple people who remove the random factor by duplicating tabs until they get the optimal spawn. I've seen them get to at least 2^14 (16384) this way. Personally I think this undercuts the skill involved in playing the game; what do you guys think?

Well I tried something different finally. I suppose I need to spoiler this as the OP requested, so here we go. I hope this wasn't obvious to everyone else, something tells me it probably was. But it worked on my second try as opposed to the corner method, so I think it was a good idea: + Show Spoiler + Apparently, shaking the blocks left and right works really nicely. I think its because it gives me an extra degree of motion (left, right, down) that allows me some more freedom of movement, and so they end up slotting into the bottom much more easily. You only have to beware of situations in which every line is completely saturated and can't be moved left/right, at which point moving the whole board up will severely mess up your game. Oh yeah, and you kind of need to make sure the bottom line is completely saturated so it can't slide left/right. I think its easier to slot the numbers in on the right and double them up as you move them to the left. Otherwise you'll have two numbers that could have doubled together on either side of a larger number, which is not very space efficient. Anyway, I only made it up to 29000, but I'm glad I solved this puzzle game. I look forward to the next TL puzzle challenge! :D.
