Ahh the game looks nice on max graphics... The game is 9 years old and I still can't play it on max settings. (On a laptop; been living abroad for almost 4 years now). I did have it at max for the end of TBC/start ofWotLK when I lived in Canada with a nice desktop... I miss those days! Even 25 man raids with shit flying around and I was at or near 60 fps the whole time. With the amount of gaming I do, I don't know how I've lived with a laptop this long.

An update to those who have PM'ed me with an interest in a TL guild; we've got around 15 interested people, so we are pretty close to having enough to make this thing worthwhile. In the meantime, Masq and a few others are rolling alliance on Us-Uldum, and I'll be joining them with an alt once the heirloom patch hits. We'll convene in irc soon to take account of where we stand, but feel free to roll there if you wanna get started on leveling a character while we figure out what realm we'll call home.

God, few things suck so bad as coming back to WoW after a very long break, just to realize that there's a severe lack of heirlooms going on. While I have no memory of letting shit hang in the mail, I can't find my heirlooms anywhere, which is ridiculous since I had a ton spread accross many alts.

If you think you lost some try the automated item recovery service. You can look through all of your toons quickly to see if one was sold or destroyed. However you can only recover items from one character once every 30 days.

For anyone interested in the TL guild, I'd like to try and get folks on the irc channel #TL-WoW this Tuesday around 5 PM PST (8 EST). With any luck, the heirloom patch will have hit and we can see about laying down the roots of a fledgling guild on a server that meets the most criteria from interested people. So far, that'd likely be a US-West PvE realm rolling Alliance. For anyone who can't make it, be sure to check this thread for updates. As always, feel free to pm with concerns and/or questions.

Whenever patch 5.4.2 hits, cross realm heirloom trading should be enabled, meaning that one can trade BoA items to any character on their account regardless of location or faction.

As of this post, we are waiting on word back from Blizzard as to the possibility that we get some sort of deal on moving a bunch of characters to a low pop server that fits our other criteria. The moment we know whether or not that's going through we will be finally picking a realm and getting started.
