The Warcraft franchise is really being carried on by WoW and other side-products such as Hearthstone, and I doubt that we will see an announcement for WC4. Legacy of the Void is still meant to come out, probably in the next two to three years, and if WC4 were to be developed it would have to be by the same team who currently handles SC2. Wishful thinking aside and as much as I'd love to see WC4 come out, I just don't think it's going to happen. And if it were to happen, I'm not quite sure I would want to see what WC4 would become under the influence of Activision... In either case, as awesome as the Warcraft universe is, the franchise has sort of been used to death and I think completely new content would be quite refreshing. For me, the best case scenario would be Blizzard coming up with a would-be WC4, an RTS game that includes the same mechanics along with improvements and new concepts but with a different universe and a different storyline.

That's a shame the storyline was continued through WoW, I want to know the end of the story, but I don't play MMORPRGZX like WoW. I guess they could still transfer the story to a possible Wc4 anyway, for the RTS fans.

It much better than how sc1 transition to sc2 imo but the story in WoW is actually decent at least for me. There has been rumors circulating about the possibility of a warcraft 4 but I just dont see that possibly happening :/

I guess it would be fitting to use an RTS game to end the storyline of Warcraft. It started with an RTS, it should end with one. But Blizzard seems to be wanting to milk it for all its worth so I don't even know if they will end it at some point. Anyway, Lucifer won the Zotac cup 3-2 against HawK, and he had about ~800 viewers for the final, which is surprising decent. Go TFT!

reason why it should have a sequel are its revolutionary gamemechanics. the only reason why Blizzard will maybe not continue it is too little time while making more money with the cashcow WoW. i dont think thered be any problems with Sc2, more with the Dota community. I personally believe the chance of it coming is higher than not

freehandnow (US East) I have been playing quite a bit recently and people have a really wide range of skill levels. Quite a few noobs but if you keep winning you will get matched with a strong player. 1v1 matchmaking is pretty quick still too. Best game ever!

They can't really justify that, one because Blizzard doesn't do prequels and two because it would remove UD and NE from the game (since historically, they wouldn't be there yet) so it would make it pretty hard to have all four races in the multiplayer game somehow. Back on topic, I'm glad so many people are signing up. I added all of your names. Since most people seem to be on US East (Azeroth), we can probably get something going there. What could be useful is having everyone give the times they usually are on so I could add that to the topic as well. Also, yeah, the ladder on Azeroth seems to be a lot better than the one on Northrend. Simply because there seems to be a lot less hackers. I played a few games yesterday, and ended up meeting two top 20 players when I was at 6-2 and 6-3, and nearly won. The skill level has drastically fallen but still, it's tons of fun. A few of you seem to be using/talking about w3arena a lot, is it that great and legit?

I had an idea though, we should probably make a clan on BNet. TeamLiquid Community (TLC) perhaps? If everyone gives a time when they are available, we can agree to meet on a channel and make the clan. It'll be much easier to get a hold of everyone in game that way while leaving the door open for more people who would like to join and keeping the thread alive. We only need ten people (9 + clan maker) in one channel to make it work. I'm personally available most of the time as I work from home and making a clan doesn't take that long. It's probably better to do it during the weekend. Perhaps next week, on Friday/Saturday/Sunday? If you guys think it's a good idea, try and give a time window when you are available during those three days and maybe we can make it happen by next week.

I'm sure that if people keep an interest in the thread we can make it happen easily. Then we can have WC3 jousts within the TL community!
