They are making a digital version of the tabletop miniature game Warmachine
Similar to Warhammer or other miniature tactics games, it revolves around controlling a Warcaster who commands warjack mech like automatons and soldiers in a steam punk like world.
The table top game is pretty fun, looking forward to seeing how this turns out. You can get the digital copy for $20 thru the kickstarter. The Kickstarter just started and they are already over $534,000 with 29 days to go.
With 33 hours to go, Warmachine: Tactics is at $1,359,758 (+~$16,000 from paypal).
Mercenary faction, 2 additional single player campaign mission packs, 4 new warcasters, 4 new warjacks, the option to customize your units colors, horde survival mode, and co-op play have all been unlocked, with the Elf faction Retribution of Scyrah being the next stretch goal on tap.
Game play inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics, X-Com, and Valkyria Chronicles, everything is shaping up to be an impressive turn based strategy game.
Having never actually played Warmachine outside of a tutorial game someone gave me once, I am still massively interested in it and how it plays (have no local gaming group). So this kickstarter was perfect for me, went in at the $65 digital tier, can't wait til next year!
I was also thinking I would 100% be the Protectorate of Menoroth stuff, but the new Elvy things look awesome.
