It's a decent analogy. Korea got so obsessed with SC because PC Bangs were their source of video games. Japan is basically the same when it comes to Arcades.

Nah, the semis last year were awesome, it was just the top 8 that had Infiltration killing all the hype by rolling over everyone.

Yeah I kind of feel like AE has all the hype and a lot of the other games have kind small audiences although evo is the only time in the year I watch fighting games. I like street fighter the most but its cool to just see other fighting games played by the best

Yeah the semis were nice but the pools last year were just ok;
Best game last year was Daigo Gamerbee, it was awesome.

Shooters are probably most balanced usually. Every player is the same most of the time. But balance isn't the only thing that makes a game good to watch or play.
