god this evo is soooo good.. that list of semi finals....

best match so far was fuudo vs chris for me... not quite as high level as haitani xiao hai or smth but I could really feel the heart that guy put into his play...

Korea is probably strongest in KOF, SFxT and Tekken. But SSF4 is Infiltration.

Coming from the FGC, I always have to do a double-take whenever the term foreigner is used. But no. Koreans dominate Tekken and KoF, but don't have much dominance over some of the other games. That's beginning to change though, with Korea's CafeID and arcades declining in the US and Japan.

Korea is good in SSF4, but they're not the best. Infiltration is the best until someone dethrones him, and he just happens to be Korean. Japan Europe, and the US are probably deeper in high level players than Korea. The best Tekken players are Korean, but after the 2-5 they're pretty even with Japan, which is probably roughly equal to the US. KOF is kind of tough to call because Mad_KOF is #1 after last year and attending other tournaments and finishing at the top as well, but the other Koreans like Verna, Lacid, Latin are all very good but not on MadKOF's level. Meanwhile, Mexico is an extremely strong region, and many of their best players haven't had the chance to travel. They came deep to Evo 2013, so it'll be interesting to see how their players do, especially since Bala couldn't come. Also, China has some extremely strong KOF players, but not necessarily at XIII, and they don't necessarily get to travel, either. Dakou and Xiaohai are the most known/traveled of the bunch.

I kind of feel like japan is the fighting game equivalent of korea for starcraft. Diago and even some other top japan players to me feel nearly as good as infiltration but japan just has a lot more top players. Korea just has infiltration.
