Kelvin Gastelum pulls off the upsets and beats Uriah Hall to be the Ultimate Fighter Season 17 winner!

And speaking of upsets, Cat Zingano beats Miesha Tate via TKO to cement her place to coach opposite Ronda Rousey for a guaranteed title shot at the Women's Bantamweight title!

Uriah was hyped, but personally I thought most of the hype was coming from dana and chael rather than the people. Chael was flat out retarded for telling Uriah he was a contender. Maybe he was just trying to help him out by getting him noticed, but now he's got a bunch of antifans becaues of it. Chael should stick to speaking for himself. No one in their right fucking mind should have thought that. Just from looking at his technique you could tell he had huge holes in even his stand up game. He's got a lot of potential because he's really athletic and looks like he could have a better grappling game than most strikers, but he still needs to work on his standup.

Fighting people who aren't even in the UFC and making them look bad does not make you a contender, no matter how good you make it look. Anderson Silva made former champions look more terrible than what Uriah Hall did on the show.

Man those upsets though really cost me. Bet 150m isk and lost lol. Thought Miesha and Uriah had it in the bag.

Every fight was a finish. Refreshing change from past events.

Uriah Hall was fucked as soon as the Round 1 bell rang. He looked like a deer in headlights going into that fight. He didn't have that killer instinct from the TV show.

I wonder how many people had placed bets on him ROFL. He could of made a killing if he threw the fight.

Not necessarily every fight was a finish, but most fights were. It's surprising because you'd think for a badly-put together card, there would hardly be anything worthwhile, but seems like TUF Finales are starting to end with lots of finishes. I believe the TUF 16 Finale tied for the most finishes in one event for a 2012 UFC event.

Despite Uriah Hall losing, I still feel like he's just going to improve more and more. He seems like a smart dude, as well as an athletic freak, so I'm sure the loss won't hinder him that much. Plus, there's also the fact that Dana flat out sees him as a giant dollar sign, and he'll probably try to get him matched up with another striker in the middleweight division just to "test out his striking". But grats to Kelvin for for pulling off the upset.

I don't know why Uriah Hall did the Anderson Silva like fence shenanigans ... Gastelum got at least 3 takedowns because Hall was just standing at the fence doing nothing but trying to bait a frickin' wrestler into stupid punches. I think that was one of the reasons he lost. And I just saw the Hall fight against Dylan two days before this event and Hall looked so much more active and fluid especially with his jab.

I'm not a Hall fan though and I'm really happy for Kelvin, he deserved it. Picked last, coming in first nuff said. Awesome TUF season overall in my opinion definitely one of the better ones so far.

Other than that it was an enjoyable card especially Tate vs Zingano was exciting. I don't know if a female TUF season will be that interesting but who knows, time will tell.
