It seems like a lot of people want Derrick Rose to come back the way that Dwight Howard came back.
Dwight said he came back after his injury when he was "100%" (obviously that wasn't the case)
If Derrick Rose comes back and shows any kind of slow down from his injury at all, it would be another witch hunt.
Do you listen to angry fan #234234 who wants to see you fail, or do you listen to legendary players like Magic Johnson who say he should come back fully healthy.
Even if he is cleared now it's very hard to imagine he won't be healthier after working out for a full off season, having training camp, having a preseason, and then coming back in the regular season for real.

I could definitely make a case for either side. In fact, I can make a better case for him being being out there playing than sitting. So don't go about it like there is a correct way to look at it when there isn't..
I personally don't see how people can think he would be a detriment to his team. He has been dunking off each leg already, just not aggressively. If the team has already publicly said the team doctors said he is okay, then obviously there is some pressure on him from them. It isn't that it was handled bad PR-wise, it's that this is what the Bulls organization probably wanted. They need the pressure to come from the outside (fans) so they can look like they are on Rose's side from the inside.
No one is saying to go out there and play the whole game like the old-Rose we knew. How did David Lee help his team this last week? He only played a minute and a half, and I would say it made a difference to his team. No one expects him to go out there and play 35 minutes lights-out. Just go out there and give your team what you can on this run. The Bulls team is the most banged up of all NBA teams, and you are gonna sit on the sideline because you aren't 100% ? Newsflash: No one is...
The argument isn't for Rose to go out there and risk another injury, because that isn't what anyone is saying. What we are saying is that if it is a mental issue (as in he can't hurt the injury any more) then he really should get over that and do what he can. He has been scrimmaging hard 5-on-5 by all accounts, so another injury could happen there too...
Combine that with the hour-and-a-half shooting before games, and it just means he could give something during the game. He is probably one of the healthiest guys on the Bulls at this point. My issue (and other who feel this way) with it is from a team standpoint, not a superstar standpoint. Did you forget that he has also publicly said that he knows he might be able to help his team at 95%, but he isn't coming back until he is 110% ? That came out of his own mouth not the team.
edit: I <3 discussion on topics like this, so don't take my "coming hard" the wrong way, dystopia. This is a true topic with two, legitimate sides..
Hahah.

He's been in practice, that's not the same as hard 5 on 5s. Especially near the end of the season, there's a lot less (if any) hard practices.
The %s don't mean anything. They're fiction.

Memphis and OKC went full retard the first 2 minutes of the game XD

I thought that forcing OKC to play two bigs would be a disadvantage, but they've been defending pretty well so far.

Prince definitely sold that one.
LOL. His head doesn't even touch anything until he was already laying on the ground, and then he starts clutching it.
EDIT: So he faked a head injury, but he actually hurt his knee.

He should play. And I do blame him for not playing at this point. Joakim Noah literally limps his way from restricted area to restricted area 85 times a game. Luol Deng got a freaking spinal tap to test for menengitis and he'll be back, Dwyane Wade's knee is so bum it's begging for change at a freeway exit. Zach Randolph is hobbled and gets beat up every single game. Is there any way that Manu and Tony Parker are 100%?
You just play. He has a maxed-guarenteed contract. You go out there and give what you can. The ultimate professional achievement is an MVP and a championship ring. He already has one, stupidly but he has one. If The Bulls, through some unholy miracle, beat The Heat, they have a real chance to win a title. Ppppppllllllaaaaayyyyyyyy

The %s don't mean anything. They're fiction. I know this and considered that in my decision, but it doesn't change anything. The %s could be written in letters, yet it shows what he was thinking in terms of priorities at that time. For someone like Rose, who thinks carefully about what he says, it is justified to do a little psycho-analysis for the sake of sports-talk =p
Go GRizz. Go Z-Bo.!!

I'm starting to get a little irked at these little rip throughs KD likes.

I thought fo sho that the Bulls were gonna lose to the Nets in game 7. I'm glad I was wrong. I feel very weird how Rose is hinting that he might comeback in round 2 but he obviously wont come back for the season. Why does he tease us so? Joakim Noah has worked so hard to get the Bulls in a good position and now with Derrick Rose or Hinrich i doubt the Bulls will be able to take more than 2 games of the Heat. Rose, Rose, Rose.

I think someone told Z-Bo that there were scooby snacks in Ibaka's jersey.

Durant doesn't want to make "eye" contact with that reporter, if you know what I mean.

Great games by Martin and Fisher. Still expect the Grizzlies to win, but this series could be better than expected.

I really hate this "simultaneous foul and shot" crap, especially since it's never simultaneous.

No idea why Indiana looks so different based on if they're playing home vs away.

Knicks in 5-6 in this series

I think Hibbert traveled 3 times on that play. Nice the refs finally caught it!
