Mensrea:
Seahawks winning a playoff game was relevent to my thread "Seahawks win the Superbowl" all playoff discussion stemmed from the discussion about the seahawks and their path to the superbowl. I think closing my thread before my claim that the Seahawks playoff run was going to go to the superbowl is really unnecessary and frankly not appreciated. We had lots of great banter as well as great analysis for the Seahawks path to supposed glory (i hope) and your cutting alot of that off.
Please re open.

And the Seahawks pull off an fairly easy win without Mr. Alexander.

i live in the seattle area and the seahawks won

1. You've convinced me. Your thread has been re-opened.
2. However, your comment above about not appreciating the closing of your thread was unnecessary and rude. We have an interest in discouraging the proliferation of redundant topics. Accordingly, we try our best to keep down the clutter when it comes to new threads relating to the same event. The initial closing of your thread should be interpreted with this intention in mind. The venting of your personal frustrations wasn't warranted by the circumstances. I would hope you have the good sense to apologize.

fuck seahawks fuck football fuck life
why skins why...
|
i have no comment on it.
as long as the pats lose
they don't deserve it this year at all.
|
why don't they deserve it?
|
because they just aren't a good team this year, they managed to get it together near the end of the year but they still aren't as good as denver and indianapolis, and i would put them even with pittsburg.
denver absolutely deserves to win this game.

Denver > New England 27-13.

2. Seahawks have too much momentum to lose to the worn out Redskins.
3. Carolina over the Bears in a tight, defensive brawl. Why? Because Carolina has the experience and the talent. And Grossman's way too green behind the ears to lead his team deep into the playoffs. Yeah, I know, that's what they said about Dilfer and Brady, but crap, the Ravens back then were one of the greatest defensive teams ever to play the game and as for Brady, well, ditto - minus the word "defensive".
4. Broncos v. Pats = best match of the week. Very close to call, but give the Broncos the picometer edge because of home field. This one's going to be a back and forth chess match. Definitely not for the faint of heart. (A part of me would still like the Pats to win this one - just to see a Colts - Pats rematch in the Conference finals. Oh what a match for the ages that would be.) The Bears this year are one of the best defensive teams ever, as well. Allowing 12.6 ppg is not an easy task by any stretch of the imagination, and that number is a bit skewed due to the final game in which all their starters were rested. That defense is going to have something to prove this weekend, and I would be scared if I were the opponent.
"One of the best defensive teams ever"? I think you overstate the case. Everyone knows that the Bears are defensive juggernauts, and a case may be made that they were the best in the NFL this year, but "greatest ever" is a label that would apply only if they continue to dominate defensively throughout the remainder of the playoffs and win the Super Bowl. I've seen nothing in their regular season effort to convince me that they rank with the legendary Steel Curtain of the Steelers of the '75/'76 campaigns, the '86 Bears and the 2001 Ravens.
The Bears' defense may yet turn out to prove themselves "one of the greatest ever" but that, again, is in the nature of a work in progress. We shall see.
(Personally, I think the Panthers will take the Bears on Sunday.)

Hawks suprised me therefore my ratio in overall playoff predicting is up to 8 losses.... but I'm still very very much ahead of that.

I was under the impression that the seahawks had NO chance of making the superbowl, according to you

No if you read his post real careful like you will see he was referring to my "i dont appreciate my thread being closed" post not the blatant flame to another poster.
If your having troubles figuring it out PM me and i will walk you through the analysis word for word 3rd grade style.
PS: he quoted the post he was referring to if your more of a visual kid than a verbal one.

This last part sounded patronizing and petulant. If that wasn't you're intention then I've got no problems with anything else you wrote and we're square.

Saying something wasnt appreciated is in no way a slander nor was it rude, i think its the most polite way to voice a disagreement or literally dissatisfaction? Had i said "your fucking stupid for closing my thread" id see some ground for your label of me being rude, but saying it as i did, i think it was mature and did not in any way warrant you saying i was rude and such.
