Agreed, I missed it live but just watched it. (starts shortly after 10:26:00). I'm super excited to hear that Cosmo is thinking of making a bunch of explanatory videos!

Yeah Cosmo talked about the TAS time after his run, they did start the timer earlier so its still faster than Cosmo's run. Really insane record though, not sure how it will be beaten.
Also I think its 10:28.36 thanks to this screenshot

Hey, i'm considering doing some casual speedrunning of some GC games. Where should I post it? Or should I even bother since I probably won't be recording it even though it's casual? Ill probably be doing SSX: Tricky. Ill try and plan out an optimal path for each track, and I know of a few glitches from playing the game a few years ago that could prove to be useful.

You can record or post it here or on SDA if you want. I would record casual runs just because you can learn by watching it back or show off something cool. Streaming it would also work. As long as you're not proclaiming it as the world's best when it isn't, no one will mind you posting casual stuff and you never know when casual might become world class.
SSX: Tricky is a cool game to speedrun. As I recall there are some ridiculous times on youtube/ssx fansites so once you've routed your game, check out some of those and compare what you came up with. Doing racing games single segment is super fun too.

The correct way to do things is to label everything you do as a "WR attempt."
