i'm really quite disappointed with the schedule this year. assuming that the schedule is adjusting for my local time, the only things i will probably end up watching early on are:
- probably DKC if the late world cup game is poor - sonic 2 i guess i can squeeze in - gta2 if i'm awake but only as there's no other gta at all, it's not an interesting run to watch - afternoon to evening of the 27th is quite good, bubble bobble until the setup period is a nice block, and i probably wait around for metroid prime, although the good mario games are all during the night - probably alttp if they're ahead of schedule. <3 super metroid but 4:30am is LOL
as an aside i've started running vice city, i'm terrible but should hopefully get under 2 hours soon
Last years SGDQ was the most hype of all the events for me, watched literally everything. Then AGDQ 2014 was kinda boring, and this schedule made me kinda sad. But we'll see. It's more about how the runs go than the games themselves.
Last year's was amazing, set a high bar for the record smashing WGDQ '14. Watched into the wee hours of the morning each night after work, even when I had to go back in the morning. Not just the runs were good, the whole attitude and overall feel was of camaraderie and having fun...especially awesome were the Super Mario 64 race and super glitched run, Bonesaw's antics on camera for chat and some amazing skill at such games as Pilotwings. Then of course the always strong showing by Puwexil and whatever FF run he's doing. He's doing the finale this year with Essentia I see, should be good.
OK, there's now a thread for SGDQ. I pretty much just copied whatever we had last year and updated what I could catch. Hopefully there's nothing wrong in the OP.
Starting to learn ALTTP, practicing eastern palace tricks atm hoping to get comfortable enough to do fresh runs up until the end of it by the end of today (I only started yesterday :<)
I can only imagine myself being like this by the end of the week:
