Yea I'm honestly shocked he's this good in SF4. Didn't even know he played anything other than KOF.

So it's looking like this for Sunday:
Top 8 Winners:
Infiltration Daigo Umehara HumanBomb PR Rog
Losers:
Dieminion Xiaohai Gamerbee Poongko
|
oh, Kindevu is still there. And against Poongko too.
|
It's even more crazy that if Poongko pulls through with this, Daigo will be the ONLY Japanese player in Top 8. LOL
|
2 Americans, 1 Japanese, 1 Taiwanese, 1 Australian, 1 Chinese, 1 Korean, and one last Korean/Japanese in the top 8. And potentially 16 characters played in the top 16. This is pretty nice.

Is booing pretty much accepted if it's an American event with an American favorite playing?
It's accepted in general. USA vs JAPAN. East Coast vs West Coast. NorCal vs SoCal. The majority of players just end up finding it funny when they get boo'd anyway.
No one really cares about the boo'ing. More noise. More hype.

Holy shit this seems exciting....Did Daigo lose? I did not find him in the best of his form this time

The whole US/The World vs Japan is almost akin to the Foreigner vs Korea in SC2, just that the US/World is MUCH closer to the Japanese in skill, than the foreigners to the Koreans in SC2.

Yup. It's all in good fun most of the time, which makes the fgc so great. I love how intense and hyped people get. I can see how some in the SC2 community will find it offensive when the crowd boos at a player.

HumanBomb is from Hong Kong. So there's technically three Chinese players.

poongko back in the big dance.

Only 1 Japanese instead of 5 in the ro8 :/

I count him as Sydney, but we could say Hong Kong. But if you're trying to count Gamerbee as Chinese you better knock it off.
