For me the challenging thing is when you sneak past all the zombies and then one of them starts going beserk right as you get where you wanted to go. There's really no effective way to deal with this save kill them all.

You'll get better at it. You should go inland rather than try getting loot from Chern and Elektro. Even though you'll find ncie things, death will always be the result of visiting Chern/Elektro :D

Sometimes I can do better, but it's better to just sneak around and conserve ammo anyways. At least in the beginning. Loot is pretty tempermental... went like 3 hours finding almost nothing, then I found more than I coud carry in a church and a supermarket. Didn't want to quit before then because then I'd be down to a few pistol clips. Also, after reading the bug list, what probably did me in was some building glitch where I broke a bone when I shouldn't have. So like 4-5 hours down the drain due to a bug. -_-

Please. ![]() It's alpha.. it can be quite buggy at time and it can be great most of the time (even with bugs). I'm completely addicted and I gave up gaming for the most part. Even after I died and lost so much gear.... I was surprisingly fine with that. It's the journey to get the gear and everything you DO that is awesome, as opposed to going for set goals. And with that said... I now have NVGs and a silenced MP5. The nightman cometh....

twitch.tv/maeungochu but it's not exactly exciting play right now. I'm alone and surviving at night with NVGs.. not much action atm.

As I've mentioned, I have NVGs, silenced MP5, among other things. Anyway, I'm just north of the NW airfield (at night of course) when a guy mentions he keeps passing out at the NW airfield. I ask him where and he replies that he's in the southern most hangar. I go to my tent real quick, pick up a few things then make my way towards him. Keep in mind this in pitch black darkness (if you've played, you know what I mean). The guy says.. tell me when you're coming up on me so I don't shoot you.. I laugh to myself and say "ok". I'm finally in front of the hangar that he's in... I see a guy constantly falling down every 30 seconds or so (passing out due to low blood). As you may or may not know, the NVGs are extremely rare and I don't want to risk losing them by giving anyone a possibility of killing me. So, I tell him that he needs to drop his backpack and weapons (primary and pistol) then back away into the corner and face the back of the hangar (away from me). He (and everyone else in chat) are like "holy shit.. you're so fucked" etc etc. I tell him that if I wanted him dead, you would be dead. I'm looking at him from about 300-400 meters away with NVGs and my binoculars. He starts looking all over with his flashlight, thinking I must be next to him if I can kill him. Anyway.. he keeps moving for awhile and I keep telling him.. Eventually, he decides to salute.. I mention that I see him saluting and his next reply was "oh shit, he really is watching me". Finally, after about 5 more minutes of him hesitating, he drops his stuff, backs into the corner and faces away. He said "well, this is either going to be a shitty end to this life or one of the most awesome things ever". I creep into the hangar, give him a transfusion sending him back to full health and then quietly disappear into the night. I told him wait 15 seconds or so before he moves, and I'll be watching him. He never saw me.. all he knows is that I got him to full health after I basically made him strip himself blind in the corner. Anyway, I'm so addicted that I must go back to playing now :D

I just can't bring myself to trust someone on faith alone. Honestly, it seems like 80-90% of the people in game just want to team up and not kill each other. That number fluctuates at any given moment though given the situation. I've been killed because I surprised a survivor and he didn't have time to think.. just shot. Basically, you need to remove any element of surprise so people have time to think and feel safe (same goes for yourself). You may get burned here and there, but for the most part, you'll gain many trusted travelling companions. Just think about what you said, and then realize that it applies to most of the population.. they feel the same way.
