Stumbled upon my 3rd Heli crash of the night, searching for an AS-50 without any luck, make my approach on the crash site, have to shoot a few zombies who are just camping the heli, then as I get within like 20 meters like 10 more zombies spawn making what should have been a quiet 5 minute in and out a 15 minute affair where I end up using like 3 STANAG mags and killing like 20-30 zombies. Should have known I'd have incoming sooner or later, and of course as soon as I leave my prone position I take shots, start bobbing and weaving, think I'm going to escape, but he gets me with one and I'm at like 3k blood and I have like 5 zombies on me. Being that there was literally no cover, and my vision is shot I just run as long as I can before I have to bandage and then I inevitably pass out, at which point the unknown shooter finishes the job. Not even really mad about dying, just wish I could have at least returned fire before I died. Oh well, after 12 days mostly spent ranging the north its due time I spend some time on the coast. | ||

To be fair, it was in production long before Day Z showed up, so to call it a ripoff isn't speaking the truth. Also, it has a pay for convenience pricing model, not necessarily a pay for power model. It's definitely worth checking out, at least, if you like this genre. I currently look forward to what Day Z has to offer down the road a lot more but will see what War Z brings to the table as well. | ||

I don't know about it being a better engine. The ARMA engine is fantastic, yes its buggy, yes its clunky and pretty gay sometimes but the graphics are great and the possibilities are incredible. Also DayZ is in Alpha, you have to consider that since ofc its hard to update and install (though sixlauncher is pretty easy). I don't think they can make it from scratch, anyway if you look a few pages back theres a decent amount of discussion on it. | ||

Sounds like he just held "W" down thinking it was like battlefield. I believe up is Q, but I haven't had much luck with heli's myself. I can get them off the ground, get them over to where I need them to be but I can't land them to save my life. | ||

Even though you know the keys your still gonna flip it cause reflexes don't give a fuck what keys the tilt and the throttle are at when something goes wrong. | ||
