RB8 finally revealed a couple of minutes late, I think.

It too has the step nose, so I guess we know that means it's better. : p

There is something new going on with the Red Bull nose. Almost looks like a hole where the front of the car meets the step. Team are allowed one opening for driver cooling, of course it could be some kind of f-duct.. Can't for the life of me see what it is on the bad video feed.There also seems to be something extra beneath the front suspension.

As usual the best part (rear) is hidden..

my initial reaction to ferrari's unveiling was "wow, fiat multipla limited monoposto edition"
but now, after seeing the rest of the grid i may rethink watching f1 in hd this season. the mclaren is the only top team so far with a sensible looking car. let's see what mercedes came up with.

McLaren is the only team so far with a different concept. Also from the lauch photos they seem to run with quite a bit of rake. I was under the impression that the exhaust blown diffuser was what allowed RB to run their car so high last year. Newey himself said they had to adjust the aerodynamics to run the car flat this year.

With the livery and all, the Sauber looks really good. Like.... I REALLY like the look of it. Maybe its the colors talking but it looks so aggressive. :D Kamui is gonna look like a murderer in that shit as he fights for top 5. ^^

Anyone know why they banned helium use instead of o2? I didn't realize that there were such large benefits to warrant a ban.

I believe it was on the grounds of cost saving, for some reason. It is generally how F1 works; one team discovers something, everybody copies it, it gets banned because its equal anyway.

can anyone explain to me the reasoning behind the rule which causes those ugly cars? i hope it's a good one like significantly improved safety or something, or this is a huge fail on fia's part imho, since the look of the car is a relatively big factor in formula 1's appeal.
