But to me Alonso accomplished more. He had virtually no support from Massa for the most of the season, got knocked out by Grosjean from perhaps the critical race on Spa, had vastly inferior car on almost all Saturdays and yet he nearly won the title. Gosh, sometimes I feel that each team should only have one driver, so we could avoid those goddamn team orders and make the rivalry clean and simple. It was sad to watch Webber and Massa, repeatedly sacrificing their good positions by letting their team leaders go as if they were pawns on the chessboard - even though The Pawns had sparks of good form from time to time.

Well, hopefully he'll recover, some people believe the next season might be his last in Ferrari if he does signifacantly worse that Alonso for second time in a row.

![]() Shiro said she was already on the graphics for it, let's see when the first presentations of 2013 cars happen in February On November 27 2012 22:22 baldgye wrote: why was it sad to watch Massa, this season has been amazing for him the deeper into the season it got the better he became, next season we might see the return of the Massa of old, the guy who almost won the title in 2008 I think Massa can be a true title contender in 2013. Even in the early season, when he was lacking, there were rather good things from him that went unnoticed. E.g. in Barcelona, Monte Carlo and Canada he had atrocious results, but if you looked closely, he was really quick. In these races he was the fastest car in the early stages (and in traffic, on the other hand because of poor quali performances), especially in Monaco he pumped in one fastest lap after another. He ended up crashing then, which is another thing a driver has to avoid to be taken as a serious contender. Then, of course, there were times when his performance was just unbelievably bad, of course, no one can argue against that, as well. Overall his first 3 quarters of the season were really bad, and I don't think most of it was not his fault. The last stages of the season, however, we saw the "old" Massa again. I don't know what happened, wether there was some sort of mental phase, or some confidence-switch he had to turn on, but I'd like to see this exact Massa again in 2013.

hamilton is fast for sure, he is also aggressive and cocky in a way that gets himself in trouble. mclaren car also has been dominant in stretches.

I think it is cute that people with little to no interest in motorsport show up in forums just to give Hamilton shit. Maybe that is why he is the most marketable driver in F1. Edit: A video was released on youtube which has been picked up on by Alonso. The incident happens around 10min+ A BBC article about Ferrari's possible response. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/20531638 I will say I saw this before but apparently a steward is waving a green flag (I cant tell) in the marshal post at the pit exit. Flags > Lights in F1 rules btw. I hope, even if he overtook under yellow, the F1 title is not decided by lawyers.

On the 27th it was £500k, so he's managed another £300k in 2 days or so.

Yes, but why is everything solved by hearsay? Where is the proof? Why does it take so long? The FIA is so unorganized.

Can't believe they would lose a french driver whom probably comes with some Renault backing, and they have to be stone stupid if they let Kimi go..

Now they need to know what happens with Lotus before they can confirm the second driver. If the ownership changes the new owners might want someone else to the second seat.

1) Congrats to Vettel - He was very strong this year. It really blows my mind that he's a 3 time champ and still only 24-25. Can you imagine how many more strong years he has in him? Could he be the new Schumacher? He's making a strong case for it. 2) Hamilton and McLaren - I'm sad to see him leave, but it is totally understandable. This should have been Hamilton's year. So many poles thrown due to pit errors. Not even counting the bad luck in crashes, there are at least 3-4 races that should have W's for Hamilton if it were not for pit errors. At the tier in F1 racing that McLaren races at today, this simply can not happen. 3) CotA Austin - This track did not disappoint for all the hype it received. I was amazed the whole weekend from practice to qualifying to the actual race itself. The track looks beautiful. The track let's the drivers and pit crews do their jobs. There is a way for any type of driver to win at this course. It seems very balanced to me. The track also looks busy when people race on it, There's no sense of "autopilot" to it. I simply love it. I am so happy it brought back F1 to America. I hope the future NJ track can bring the some of the same stuff CotA brought to us.

I guess the problem with Roman was all the bad press he brought with him that has to hurt the team... It's a shame Kamui is in the position he's in but... he just hasn't bee fast enough... Like who else thought that Paul would be out-performed by Nico this season? I sure didn't and was almost positive he was gona get Lewis's seat when that was all in the air... Yeah, Kevin @ F1 Fanatic pointed out, rightly that it just seemed like Ferrari marketing trying to spread bad-press about Vettel winning over Alonso and moving the talk away from the fact Ferrari have just been slow... Was amazing how much press it gained when you think about how nothing an event it was, and how far more questionable things happened though out the season
