uidf Seychelles370 Posts December 30 2005 00:18 GMT #90 i played my first pickup game yesterday went 12-7 with drow(5 deaths came to a pumped omni with relic rapier duel aegis and satanic) was pretty fun alot like TDA on east with less calling of lanes Just played another 4-2 with shaker played support the whole game was kinda fun =( if youll want my reps not cuz their good or anything but because your bored or w/e tell me. p.s we need to stage a place to meet on euro!

phiwha United States158 Posts December 30 2005 05:43 GMT #91 btw, speaking of blade mails, my team recently played a 3v3 -ar scrim where they got sven, dp, centaur vs doombringer, panda, magnataur. My team was getting stomped pretty bad because vs the 3 strength heroes, especially since one of us would be doomed right away, but eventually the centaur and sven got 6 blademails between them, and the dp got skaldi/guinsoo. The other team had very good items like battlefury on panda and mags, satanic, mkb, heart, burize, and relics... but they just owned themselves when attacking us t_t

phiwha United States158 Posts December 31 2005 20:48 GMT #95 It depends what heroes you are against, not only in the game, but sometimes in your lane. The standard strat for leoric is stun/vamp aura/stun/vamp aura/stun/ult/stun/vamp aura/max out crit, etc. Item wise, treads and damage items (y&s, battlefury, mkb, etc). Personally I get stun/crit first + ror/flasks, unless i think I need vamp aura to stay in my lane or if I have a melee partner in my lane, and I dont get my ult at lvl 6. I'll get it around lvl 9-11 or so, and keep it at lvl 1 for the low mana cost. The key thing with leoric is to make sure u always have enough mana for reincarnate, and not use it on a storm bolt like a noob. Also, some people like to get bracers, but I think its a waste, if you want, just get branches or circlets and sell them later. If anything, you might want a null early so you can spam your nuke enough times and still have enough left for reincarnation.

phiwha United States158 Posts December 31 2005 20:57 GMT #96 Anti brood also depends on how the brood plays. There are those who focus on web/bite first and harass with a lane that is all webbed up. The counter to that is obviously to get wards. Just be careful to place wards in smart places since webs can detect wards if they are very close/on top. Then there are those who get maybe 1 lvl of web max, then go spiderling nuke + bite or stats. They either push with the spiders (mass spider army), or try to nuke you to death. The counter to the push strat is to have AOE spell heroes go up against him, and farm his little spiders (weak hp) for gold and XP. If he nukes you, get more regen items. As for an item build to counter him, play it like you're playing against a naix... if you're intel, you need disables, so guinsoo is nice, agility is damage items/maybe perma stun with bashers, and strength is blademails+damage. Hes not really a powerhouse of a heroe anyways, unless you let him farm too much. And of course, the best counter/strat to any hero match up is to just out play him with micro :p ... out farm/out XP him by geting last hit on creeps, killing your own creeps that are about to die, and staying in lane longer than him.

phiwha United States158 Posts December 31 2005 21:26 GMT #99 The way dota works, creeps will auto attack you when you are in range when attacking the other hero, or if you are low hp (same with towers). As for killing your own creeps, its not 'wrong' or 'illegal' in any way, and its a 'must' against any decent player. You dont even get sheeped anymore if you attack a too high hp creep anyways, so you have nothing to lose. Just keep in mind, you can only kill your own creeps that are low hp (red).
