Like a team or coach gets a feel good vibe about them because they run good for a season. It's always too obvious to go for guy like Jackson or Popp, so they seem to try look for an out-of-the-box type pick. It's a pretty arbitrary process which leads to random selections. | ||

I wouldn't go that far, but Russel would definitely have a difficult time in today's NBA. It's the same argument on whether the 92 Dream Team would destroy the 2008 or 2012 team(s): The 2008/12 teams presents just as many match up problems for the Dream Team than they do in reverse. Michael Jordan having to guard Kobe is already going to be tougher than most people realize - but then he has to also guard Wade. Same thing with Magic Johnson having to guard Rose/Paul or Larry Bird having to even fathom guarding Lebron, Melo or Durant. | ||
