He looks awkward (and he that said during last years ASG when the other Eastern All-Stars tried to make him dance during the intro), because he's not a showman off court like the other guys, the ASG is all about antics, goofing around and that sort of stuff.. not being the utmost professional - D-Rose plays basketball, and that's it (and I love him for it!) :D The amount of antics that those players do is why half the population wants nothing to do with the NBA. Of NBA fans only like 10% enjoy the bizarre dances and wearing prescription-free glasses, the rest of us just suffer through it so we can watch the games. Rose is maybe a bit too subdued for the mainstream (plus the stache...) but being a bit more subtle like Pierce or Duncan certainly couldn't hurt guys like Lebron who just engage in so much shenanigans.
This exactly why we end up with articles about why race continues to matter in the nba, where they have to market mostly black athletes to a mostly white audience.
NBA players aren't allowed to wear jewelry and have to cover up tattoos when walking into the building or giving press conferences. Because if they did, more than half the population would want nothing to do with these over-entitled NBA thugs.
Given how much people are tired of this conversation, I'm surprised anyone brought it up.

First time I've seen Boozer one-hand throw-down! He's getting some ups!
|
What did Boozer get a technical for there? The staredown?
|
this is what happens when golden state don't hit their threes and monta isn't hitting those ridiculous shots he takes - they get blown out.
77-48 midway into the third

still beat them there last time...
granger averages something like 30 ppg against the warriors over his career, it's a pretty funny stat

Especially with his FG% (only this season, I know)
It would probably have been a tad different with Curry in, though

I just hope Udoh gets a few more blocks in so I can beat this chump in my fantasy league

I seriously hope Indy gets him and Eric Gordon on the same team. Dude is quickly becoming one of my favorite players.

definitely would have been closer with steph available. warriors need to get rid of monta and start their entire offense over with curry.

can't, curry will never play a full season, apparently. they are better off shipping them off for size or assets and develop another pg, which should be easy in this era. of course they won't trade both, trading one is iffy for this team, since their worth is higher than their contributions, or their contribution is higher than their worth, or its too damn hard to tell their worth or contribution.
|
yup, a deep team. A deep team that can handle the 40 games a season w/o Steph.
edit:Holcan beat me to it

if you put it another way, they're more valuable to gsw than they are to other teams, which makes it harder to get equal or better value in a trade.

The Bulls offense with and without Rip Hamilton is two different worlds.. there's so much activity when he's on the court! Can't wait to see the Bulls' starting lineup when Rip is done with limited minutes
|
well, its hard to say that monta and curry can't contribute at a high level on another team, its just their 'problems' of attitude and injuries will hinder their transition. personally I don't think they will, but a organization I could see waiting on a good deal before pulling the trigger on a trade. gsw just needs to sell tickets, so shipping both ticket selling playets for future contention doesn't seem something their fo would do.

I'll never understand how people who weave through traffic like magicians gets fewer calls than people who meets resistance when going low post.. meh, a touch of the finger to ones arm post-release > 3 bodies jumping into one during a drive

Trade Curry. He has a glass ankle. I'm glad I took a nap and missed this game. Why was Jenkins starting??

They've waited 2.5 years. Enough is enough, one of them has to go...
