Remember a few pages back how I mentioned the Lakers lacked depth so badly that if anyone of the big three had an off night we were in trouble? Tonight was a case in point. Andrew Bynum 1-8 3 points, and just ZERO energy all night tonight.
If it wasn't for Kobe Bryant this game would have been a 20 point game with Jeremy Lin just making a mockery of the entire club. Fisher and Blake's defense on him was horrid, and Matt Barnes god bless him just commits way too many fouls to be a defensive credit.
What a game by Lin though. That kid is incredible he carried the Knicks tonight. The Lakers shot 34% in the first half and yet were only down 4 and managed to come back to within 3.

If he has a brain in his head at all he's watching these games and realizing he doesn't need to handle the ball as much and he can just play like any normal small forward and let Lin find him for his looks.
Ditto with Stoudemire. When they come back they just have to learn to trust the kid to get them the ball where they need it.
Knicks just look so much stronger without Amare and Melo. Not contender-strong, but strong. Good ballmovement and penetration, good screens and Pick and rolls, good double teams and hard rotations. With two out of five players not buying in to that they wont be able to keep this streak up.
