With Ginobili coming back soon (not to mention TJ Ford, who's been playing well), and no real scary team in the West, I'd say they have a non-trivial probability of making the finals this year.

Lin didnt have a single turnover in the first half. 44 minutes wihtout ever having played major minutes in the NBA is pretty hard. Especially with his agressive playstyle on both ends of the floor. Its the first PG they had this season who actually can create something by penetrating. Shumpert and Douglas all just jack up ridiculous 3-pointers. Bibby is a bit more sensible but is just so slow on both ends.

Except it's his defensive rebounds rate which is blowing up this year (35%, most bigs are 20 something, he's usually 30%), not offensive. A lot of bigs average around a 10% offensive rebound rate. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/howardw01.html from espn One thing that separates Lin from the other point guards on the Knicks' roster is his passing ability, especially in the pick-and-roll. How are you an nba point guard, even a reserve, if you can't pass the ball?

Just says that Lin seperates himself with his passing ability ![]() The others might be able to pass but they can't create any shots for their teammates. Lin can see the floor and use the pick & roll pretty well. His ability to penetrate and drive is pretty amazing. Not many PGs in the league who can do that the way he did in the last two games. His style reminds me of a Barea with a little less speed and range but with better passing. I hope he can establish himself in the NBA.

He is too nice to even ask for it. Maybe he wants to retire as Suns?

John Wall's reaction is what really takes it over the top though. Edit: Image not loading anymore it seems.
