pacers improve to 16-6 and overtake philly who lost to the heat today. pacers are tied with the bulls for the most road wins in the nba (10).
pacers have only played 7! home games in 22. they're 10-5 on the road, having defeated LAL, CHI, DAL, and BOS on the road.
I am so happy right now with how this team is playing.

stop hating and generalizing heat fans. people like you love to hate for some reason. people like to see their teams winning, whats surprising about that? and btw the heat had alot of fans alrdy with wade alone, when lebron came, a big name like that would make new fans anywhere he went as he did here.
Of course the Heat had loads of fan prior to LBJ's arrival, and I think most of us here are just taking a jab at the Miami Heat fans who've become EXTREMELY VOCAL after LBJ&Bosh came to town, where most of their input consist of "OMG KING JAMES & DWADE FOR DUAL MVP!! MIAMI NBA CHAMPIONS 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 SUCK IT OTHER TEAMS"..
Most people who've been long-time fans are obviously overjoyed with the acquisition aswell, but they have seen "the dark days", so they don't go overboard and gloat like crazy..

Raptors had a few exciting years with Vince Carter and TMac (a dunking competition winner in a Raptor uniform? Hell yeaaah). But this was so long ago that at the time, the Leafs were still able to make the playoffs... I believe they also won the division in one year, I believe 1 year before Boston formed the big three. They then got ousted in the first round by the Nets who had.... Vince Carter...
We have a history of sucking ass, but we've had a few surges of excitement. But don't worry about us, this sucktitude is nothing in comparison with the Leafs, the team that Torontonians for some reason care about. I mean... the city is going wild over a team that hovers around 7th-9th place

Minnesota apparently has the current longest playoff drought. And I do believe over the last 20 years or so the Warriors have made it to the playoffs the least, along with the Bobcats, Thunder, and Grizzlies (?).

I was here last year too, but mainly post on pacers digest for basketball.
Its hard to say who is better between Denver and Indy, very similar teams. Both have great depth which is key this season.
We got a big game against Orlando tonight. We could go 5-0 this week and stay right up there with Miami and Chicago. I cant wait to play Miami again. We fell flat on our faces the first time around and that will not happen again. Im excited to watch PG24 tonight. This kid could go down as one of, if not the best Pacer of all time.

The Dubs had a 2 year run (does that even count as a run?) in 2006-2008 when they upset the top seeded Dallas Mavericks. I'll never forget that.
They won 50 games the next year, but were the #9 seed in the West =/
Before then it was 93-94 season? Where they got KO'd by the Suns. After that their playoff runs were before I was born lol.

Making the playoffs in the East over the last 10 years has meant very very little.
The East has been a 4 team conference for a long time now with the 4 teams in question changing in and out, but earning a 5-8 seed in the East hasn't meant much in recent years.
The East is more competitve now than I've seen it in a long time and you can rest assured the Raptors won't make the playoffs this year.
The West on the other hand, has been a conference where making the playoffs at all is an accomplishment and every year there's always at least one good team that just barely doesn't make it.

People concluded West was better mostly pre 07 (Celtics), after which it was still close enough.
The only super team in that period was 1 year of the Heat. The best team in the east was Detroit, which was underrated, but they had to be committed to each other and to defense to reach superpower potential.
The Nets were a good team, but not a superpower. And for years they were the best the east had to offer, beating out the likes of the Rick Pitino, Paul Pierce and Antoine walker Celtics juggernaut in the conference finals.

Yep, around 2003 to 2008 the East always seemed really weak, with minimal contenders. Sure, you had great teams like the 2004 Pistons or 2006 Heat, but no one really stood out or dominated. At the same time, the West was really stacked with the Spurs (before everyone got old), Suns, Mavs, etc.

Of course they are, I'm just saying that Duncan/Parker/Ginobili don't have the legs to win another championship (imo). They'll always do well every season and make the playoffs though before Duncan retires.
